Benjamin Bloom on ‘Talk Norwich city’ chatting like long lost best mates 05:50 - Oct 3 with 6396 viewsJoey_Joe_Joe_Junior

Popped up on my YT feed!

Wanted to throw up, games gone.

Why would you even talk to them divs, that’s the entire point, we don’t have to, it’s what makes this game the real, we don’t work, talk or interact with each other, EVER. Well that was the way of it when I still lived in Ipswich.

I hope we crush them! Blue Monday staff has gone way down in my estimation!

To be fair to Benjamin, that Chris Reeve needs a good slapping.

Someone had to do it.

I’m surprised they didn’t arrange where they’re meeting for breakfast before the game.

Some people are taking such an OTT view of this match.

It's a game. A game for goodness sake. Whatever happens on Sunday, nobody's lives will be changed because of the result.

I'd much rather engage in friendly conversation with my Norwich-supporting friends and colleagues, than perpetuate any of the unpleasantness that many seem to think has to accompany this match.

Like he does for nearly every other game...

Move along

Perhaps the excellent Benjamin Bloom feels the rivalry just as much, but isn't half as childish as you or me?

Blue Monday is the cream of football podcasts from what I've seen.

I hope we crush the bastards too.

Not true. Our lives will be a lot easier over the next couple of weeks if we win on Sunday. The forum would get pretty toxic if we lose.

Norwich-supporting friends? Isn't that a contradiction in terms?

Those guys are 2 of the most unbearable humans.

The one with the glasses was alright for a little bit, seemed like he was maturing but went back to being a weirdo.

Don’t, he’s got skin like wet tissue paper- can’t help but mention and exaggerate any time he’s ever mentioned on here, it just fuels his persecution complex.

Like any ‘content creator’ or whatever spurious job title podcasters give themselves. Everything that they do is for ‘clips’ ‘likes’ ‘engagement’ etc.

It’s his job after all and the more his ‘content’ is viewed the more he gets paid

For what it’s worth I think he’s a decent and balanced voice on championship football but I’m not a regular viewer/listener and won’t be making the effort to watch this.

The state of this

What a massive wet wipe
The whole day needs to be as uncomfortable and unpleasant for their fans and players as we can make it
None of this happy clapper nonsense

I've heard there are other videos on YouTube. Maybe watch one of them?

Or is this a clever marketing ploy and you're actually working for Ben?

It's all a bit friendly......
The podcast industry is all about making friends and networking...

He has other pod interests to consider, in terms of falling out with any club's fan base, I guess.

I watch Ben, because he "happens" to be on Blue Monday. Which is just a project to him.
His alliances appear to be with his pod projects.. (Shock, horror, it's his job)

Now, just to be clear. He is a very popular pod caster... But you can't please all of the people, all of the time. Although, I feel that is what he tries hard to do . In doing so, he might say/do things that some disagree with.

End of the day, he's a Town fan. So he'll do for me. As will all Town fans. Even if we rub each other up the wrong way now and then... (That's not a euphemism, btw).

If you want partisan punditry, I'm sure there are channels which supply that. But it isn't what Bloom does, he has made loads of videos with opposition commentators.

As for not talking to those associated with Norwich, my own mother came from the city. Lots of people have cross-border links, familial, friendship, work, residence. It's a football rivalry, not some deadly Balkan blood-feud.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

You’ll have a shock when you find out some of our fans are neighbours with Norwich fans, work with them, are mates at college, etc. Some even marry them!
