A midfield partnership of Matusiwa and Cajuste on 14:02 - Oct 6 with 2623 views | J2BLUE | The whole squad is ridiculous on paper and I really feel like it's a matter of time before we really click. We subbed one of the last three golden boot winners...for one of the last three golden boot winners.

A midfield partnership of Matusiwa and Cajuste on 14:03 - Oct 6 with 2601 views | USA | It’s pleasing rather than ridiculous. They’re great for a club with Prem ambitions. They’re not Champions League winners, which is what I’d class as ridiculous for the Champ

A midfield partnership of Matusiwa and Cajuste on 14:10 - Oct 6 with 2518 views | Wallingford_Boy | It is really. Cajuste is so classy, give it a few more weeks and he will be fully up to speed, but even now, he sees things no-one else does at this level.

I wouldn't say poor, just not up to his usual standard - but I did think it was just me that thought that.
A midfield partnership of Matusiwa and Cajuste on 14:32 - Oct 6 with 2294 views | southnorfolkblue | Matusiwa is brilliant. I’m less sold on Cajuste tbh. I know that puts me in a minority, but he doesn’t do enough for me. He’s as likely to lose the ball in a dangerous area as he is to create anything.

He has been poor really, considering his pedigree. Has an outstanding 15-20 mins, then is missing for the remainder. And that is almost every game so far.

A midfield partnership of Matusiwa and Cajuste on 15:11 - Oct 6 with 2065 views | Garv | It's good but to keep seeing things like "it shouldn't be allowed" is getting on my tits a bit, I'll be honest. Cajuste can be a genius and a liability all within 5 seconds. He does his trademark pirouette when he clearly shouldn't sometimes. I still remember the goal we conceded at home to Newcastle last season when we were playing short. Everyone blamed Muric when it was Cajuste's casual nature on the ball that put us in trouble. Obviously it's brilliant to have him, but to pretend our midfield is untouchable feels a bit arrogant. Yes I'm a miserable git.

A midfield partnership of Matusiwa and Cajuste on 15:25 - Oct 6 with 1954 views | Vic | Let's wait to see! We're only mid table at the moment so I'm a little bit wary of getting ahead of ourselves saying how good this or that player is or how good we are as a team. When we're playing well and beating teams and not talking about what we will be, then I'll feel more comfortable.

I’ve said it time and time again. It’s the fecking ‘turn’ of his. Looks great when it comes off, but when it doesn’t, it puts us in no end of trouble.

Nah I'm with you tbh. Not just Cajuste but the whole 'cheat code' stuff you see. We've got a really good squad, and that should put the percentages in our favour over the course of the season. I do think some people get very carried away though. I think Szmodics, J.Clarke, Philogene, Akpom are all really good players, enviable options, some more so than others, and they've all delivered at other clubs in the past at this level, but none of them have a Championship promotion to their name. Palmer and Furlong aren't prime Kahn and Cafu either. Its a good and expensively assembled squad and I think we'll have a good season, but as it stands we're 9th in the league and they've got it all to prove. Sometimes the same people who get carried away are the ones claiming shit and not good enough when we don't win, which is equally untrue.

Wouldn't go that far but think he had sort of the opposite game to what he normally has. Thought he actually pretty good out of position, battling for the ball, making interceptions, tackles, recoveries and stuff which people criticise him on here for not doing, but he just couldn't seem to get anything going with the ball, felt like he kept getting it stuck under his feet all the time.

I prefer the style of Nunez when we’re on the ball. He’s like our own little Pirlo strutting around and spraying passes about. Always on the move and finding space. Cajuste is great though, so it’s a nice problem to have.

I’m still not sure if he is the player we need as a starter in the Championship, I don’t think he is strong enough. Second half substitute fair enough, defenders and opposition midfielders losing their “bite” yes. Fighting in midfield against physical midfielder ball winners I’m not convinced. Imagine a dual with Morsey?
A midfield partnership of Matusiwa and Cajuste on 16:31 - Oct 6 with 1542 views | FrimleyBlue | Thing is with Cajuste, as much as love the touches that sometimes come off and some of the occasional turns into space etc, what type of midfielder is he actually? Hes not defensively sound to be a DM, he' not really a creator or goal scorer. He just seems a bit like a spare part, but a luxury one.

I would have Morsy back in Jan, send Taylor out on loan or sell. Matusiwa is the man but if injured or suspended we need a replacement

A midfield partnership of Matusiwa and Cajuste on 16:37 - Oct 6 with 1514 views | Vaughan8 | I like them both but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Both (particularly Cajuste) yesterday gave the ball away in our half and a decent team might have scored. Certainly gave them chances for shots in the first half anyway. So i'll be in the minority and disagree that is it "ridiculous". They're good, but not "ridiculously good"

This isn't really aimed at you, but people are being really harsh on him. I think he's one of our best passers. He span one of their players yesterday and put out a lovely ball to Egeli when we were on the break, and that led to one of our goals. He made more tackles than Matusiwa did, but he didn't get any credit for it, and he had the same number of interceptions. For me, he's somewhere between Nunez and Matusiwa. I've not seen loads of Nunez in fairness, but he doesn't strike me as a very defensive player where as Cajuste can absolutely do a job there.
