I wonder how many of that crowd last night were people who have never been before but went because they could easily get tickets and can chalk seeing England at Wembley off their list. Why play a meaningless friendly at Wembley anyway. Most football fans are peed off with the international breaks . There are too many. I think the first comment from Don sums it up perfectly.

England fans have always been poor. Been to many games previously. One song sang (the same boring one) for most games with the drum creating the beat. No imagination or effort in creating an atmosphere. They need a Blue Action style dedicated group to generate an atmosphere.
That and of course make the games cheaper, more accessible (local grounds) and easier to get to and away from. |  |

As some people have already alluded to above, they really need to get out of Wembley more often, and I'm saying that as someone who lives in London.
Atmosphere is dog, most people have to leave early because Wembley is an awful part of the city to get out of for a major event.
I know there's some sort of element of making money that's needed but there seems to be more gigs at Wembley than ever before so surely that's helping with revenue.
There's so much more to England than just London, they need to go inspire kids elsewhere. |  | | |

I think he's got a point, the atmosphere at Wembley is dire but equally its a pointless friendly against a pretty poor opponent. Hardly a shocker that 7,000 away fans who have spent the day on the beers are going to make a bit more of an occasion of it than families going along on a school night with their faces painted to throw paper aeroplanes. From Tuchel's comments it seemed it was motivation he wanted from the crowd as England were 3-0 up.
Frankly I can't get motivated watching a pointless game like this.
The only time I follow England is when it's a proper tournament, World Cup or European Cup.
All these Internationals do is disrupt the EFL season. It is both annoying and a waste of time. Many managers will pull out players for small niggles so as to save them from injury and to prepare them for what they see as more important club games.

He’s right, but I don’t think it’s a Wembley specific problem as the games at Villa Park and the City Ground were also poor atmosphere wise.
I’m an England away member and whilst there are a lot of families and casual fans that come to games there are also 30,000 odd members who are trying to get caps for away games/major tournaments and there really isn’t much from that group of people either (and tbh most of them don’t even want to go to the home games). |  | | |

That was the Andorra game, but according to the stats (and make of them what you will) it was almost at capacity - 39,000 in a 42,500 seater stadium. In contrast, the Wembley attendance last night was about 12,000 below capacity. | | | |

What happened to entertaining the fans?
At HT I think we all knew what the second half would be like. I get looking after the players but when you have a crowd that big, they deserve to see 90 minutes of decent football.
It's no wonder games against lower ranked nations are not drawing in passionate crowds when people know half the match is likely to be a training exercise. |  |

Wembley is an absolute pig to get out of, especially on a weeknight if you have to get trains etc.
Why on earth they don't play friendlies at other grounds is beyond me, they can't still be milking that cow to pay for it surely? |  |

When they go on the road there's no stadium as big as Wembley for a start, but even when they gone to Old Trafford, Anfield or the Etihad for a friendly, they dont sell out, for qualifiers they do, but friendlies nope.

If you want a meaningless friendly that Tuchel seemed to value as a chance for his players to get a bit more chummy, but then you also want Wembley and full TV coverage on a match finishing nigh on ten p.m. in the dungeon that is North West London, then families are going to be heading off before the end.
