| So what's your line up to face the Baggies? 20:47 - Oct 23 with 2411 views | GlasgowBlue | I think we need some stability moving forward. Walton Furlong O'Shea Greaves Davis Matusiwa Cajuste (but KM shouldn't be afraid to bring on Nunez earlier than usual if Cajuste is tiring) Jaden Akpom Sindre Azon And remember. It may have been an awful week but going into the Boro game we were second in the form table and had just beaten the scum convincingly. [Post edited 23 Oct 20:49]

Why revert to Hirst? No criticism just interested in your logic. I feel like we'll just get more of the same if he starts on Saturday.

His confidence is shot at the moment. a confident Hirst would have buried that chance that Jack Clarke put in on Tuesday. Instead he took a touch (a poor one) that he didn't need to. Better to take him out of the firing line and hopefully take hsi chances in later stages of the game.

Azon should have scored from McAteer cross in second-half on Tuesday. Hirst deserves another chance to rebuild his self-belief from the start. A striker who gave Chelsea's defence a proper run for its money at The Bridge earlier this year is good enough for The Championship. It's a confidence issue, accentuated by an under-performing team, but it can be easily restored with a couple of goals from open play.

agree in principle but you could say that we've already done that for most of the season, and his finishing has been really poor. Surely now time to do the same with Azon - i was disappointed to see him come off against Charlton, maybe he needs a goal to get up and running

The logic is solely who I think KM will pick. I've not rated hirst this season but still think KM will pick him based on his pressing for tomorrow.

| So what's your line up to face the Baggies? on 11:14 - Oct 24 with 363 views | LeightonBuzzardBlue | Walton Furlong O'Shea Greaves Davis Matusiwa Nunez Clarke Humphreys Philogene Azon Before anyone comes in and bemoans that Humphreys won't even be in the squad. I know, but it's who *I* would line up with. I don't think anyone has thrived in that No.10 role yet and Humphreys just had a season where he was probably one of, if not the best 10 in League 1. I'm also a fiend for having 'one of our own' in the team. Sorry not sorry | | | |
| So what's your line up to face the Baggies? on 12:08 - Oct 24 with 335 views | DJR | I'd play Johnson at right back because I think he offers more than Furlong or Young going forward, and we've struggled down the right this season. [Post edited 24 Oct 12:25]

| So what's your line up to face the Baggies? on 12:29 - Oct 24 with 299 views | EddyJ | The central 10 is the problem position IMO. Since McKenna has been at the club, only Chaplin has consistantly worked in that position. Hutchinson often went out of the game there and was generally more effective from the wing. Szmodics is all effort, but doesn't have the skill to unlock defences. Akpom looks uncomfortable with the ball to feet and wants to be running into space. I've seen Nunez mentioned as a possible 10. What about Azon? His best attributes seem to be his control and turning with the ball. I think that is what we need there - probably the closest skillset to Chaplin. | | | |

| So what's your line up to face the Baggies? on 12:37 - Oct 24 with 273 views | usm | Whatever it is it needs to stay fairly consistent - ie not 5/6/7 changes every week I'd go for Walton Furlong O'Shea Greaves Davis Cajuste or Nunez Matisuwa Jaden SS Clarke Azon | |

| So what's your line up to face the Baggies? on 13:42 - Oct 24 with 218 views | football | I'd consider dropping O'Shea as he has been woeful the last couple of games and does not seem to have the leadership we need on the pitch. Kipre and Young to replace Greaves and O'Shea for me. Bring Matusiwa back with Jens. Azon up top with Sammy sitting behind. Sindre one side and Billie the other. | | | |

The other 2 strikers just don't look like scoring either. Presumably we'll reverty back to the Middlesborough team bar Palmer.

Akpom was sublime with ball to feet & his back to goal on Tuesday!

I would go for this but Kipre in for Greaves. I thought Hirst did well when he came on Tuesday, he was strong and his hold up play was good, neither him or Azon have the scoring touch at the moment but I think Hirst can do a little more for the team than Azon
