Glad to see largely the same side. Hirst coming back in was a no brainer. Thought it would be McAteer for SWE but interesting to see what Clarke can do off the right, had some minutes there of late but don’t think we’ve seen him start there for a while.

Nunez has really come in this past month. No disrespect to Akpom, but Nunez has that cuteness in his play that Akpom doesn't have. |
He’s also much more comfortable and natural playing as a bit of a deeper 10 to make a midfield 3 than either Akpom or Szmodics are. No surprise given they’re more who offensively minded. I think it’s given us a better balance and certainly in a game like today is more prudent.

McAteer is 24 and at the early stages of having joined us. He wasn't signed to be first choice on the right with the options we already have there. Look at how long it took Taylor to become first choice. McAteer will be given every chance for as long as McKenna is here and McAteer works at improving his game. | |

Yep, you make a good point. I didn’t mean to criticise him really, just observing that at this point I don’t think he offers as much as others. I hope his time comes. | |
