Good opportunity to give the first teamers a rest I'd say.

We still owe them for Molby cheating with that free kick in 1992.

Either want a lower prem team that we have a chance of beating like Wolves, Burnley or West Spam or a Lg1 team like Burton or Port Vale

Exactly this. Lower league team at home for the next three rounds. Gives those on the fringe of the team a chance and builds confidence. Definitely don’t want Norwich, feels it would distract from the league which is the priority

Totally agree with this! Leeds away would be very nice. Great city to visit. And we owe them after a couple of recent defeats.

Oxford away would be very poor too. Unless we finally found a way to win it!

Why on earth would Norwich away be the worst? Would love to see us go there and stuff them.

I hate Norwich games. Each fill me with complete dread. The best thing about last year was not playing them.

Why? Other than under MMc, I've always felt confident in derby games as I'm naturally optimistic. Under MMc the priority was always to not lose rather than the priority being to win, which doesn't work in high pressure games, his record as a manager in derby games, cup games and play offs back up my theory.
| Worst possible scenarios for 4th round draw on 18:38 - Jan 11 with 2128 views | _CliveBaker_ | Home would be great, minimise travel and pack out PR with some cheap tickets again. Ideally lower league where we’re favourites (I know, Maidstone) and can rotate. Those games serve the league ones rather than compromise them. Failing that a premier league team at home, perhaps a lesser one who would be an interesting test. West Ham or Wolves maybe. Worst would surely be a long trip to a fellow championship club, Hull or something. | | | |
