A politician i have even less respect for than Farage. And that's a low bar to start with.

Will be interesting to see how the people who say they want to vote Reform because they're fed up with the main political parties manage the mental gymnastics required to justify voting for a party that's basically the post-2019 car crash version of the Tories.

So Reform quite possibly will have hate-preacher Farage, 30p Lee, honest Bob Jenrick, Sarah ‘there’s too many black people on TV’ Pochin and Richard ‘immigrants should integrate but I live in a gated community in Dubai’ Tice.

And people vote for those absolute c**ts.

Yeah, that's why I'm surprised - they're taking too many Tories surely. Also, on his part it seems like a demotion as no one will ever displace Nige as boss from his own ltd company party, no?

Really hope that Farage was planning to unveil him this afternoon and Kemi just derailed the whole thing. Would really annoy him.

The people who will vote reform will not have any idea whom the politicians are and where they come from. They have no interest in previous political standing nor previous actions.

Reform voters are like the members of the party. No moral backbone and no idea what their actions will lead too if reform gets any members into parliament. It is a protest vote which will lead to this country falling in further into the mire.

There’ll be some that know exactly what they’re voting for too sadly. See Brexit.

If it was true he was plotting then she had no choice really, done the right thing. Now if he does crawl to Farage he has no bargaining chips whatsoever.

Badenoch's statement says that she has "sacked Robert Jenrick from the Shadow Cabinet, removed the whip and suspended his party membership with immediate effect". So she's done pretty much everything she can at this stage.

They're all just chancers who have either, in Zahawi's case, have lost their seat on the gravy train or, with Jenrick, have seen the way the wind is blowing with regards to 2029.

No doubt Farage has been tapping up whomever he can, with a promise that those who defect first will get first pick of the 'plum' seats at the next election.

Six months ago you'd have had him odds on to oust Kemi from the Tory leadership but she's been on play off form since then and looks fairly secure so his only ambition left would have been to oust Farage in a year or so.

I can't help but think these Tories joining Reform must all have an eye on the leadership.
