| That ‘Kier Starmers a w**ker’ chant from our fans today… 17:03 - Feb 7 with 2503 views | The_Romford_Blue | Absolutely pathetic. Plenty of us didn’t join in obviously but you just know the whole ‘don’t bring politics into football’ crowd were the ones singing it. A great trip. That was the only complaint. Hotdog 8/10 for those wondering. Shoutout Sitters for sorting the ticket 🤝l | |

They sang it at the darts the other night in Newcastle as well. Just plain weird for an away end to sing it at a championship match. Bizarre stuff

Unfortunately it's been sung a lot at various darts competitions recently. I heard it numerous times at Ally Pally, so the chants at Newcastle the other night aren't new. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

i'm surprised you're allowed close enough to him to confirm that! more likely that it describes anyone singing that

No worries, did that horse win?

Or even other figures of hate? It's not a great look, but people's voices shouldn't be suppressed. Personally, I agree to keep politics and the like out of sport, but it's probably one of the few occasions that people group together these dats, and whether you agree or not there is a lot of anger towards the PM at the moment.

Johnson and Truss in particular imposed far more harm on the UK than Starmer, who has mainly just been a bit crap, and I don't recall any football chants about either of them. Politics on here is fine, there is even a general forum to cater for it, but chanting about the government at football is mainly just pretty lame tbh.

I'm not particularly keen on him, but compared to some frog-faced, constituency-dodging frauds I can think of, he's the absolute paragon of virtue and a fine leader.

Sadly, divisive politics is well and truly up and running and is now polluting the public en masse. If I look back 10 years ago i would never have imagined that the country would be heading towards the Reform mindset. Agree on Starmer, hes not (yet!) done the damage that previous incumbents did, he's just a bit crap as you say, rose to power on the back of "we are not the Tories and will be better" but turns out to some degree it's really not much different. I still have hopes that this Labour government can make a difference, but they really have bloody better get on with it.

People don’t though, which is kind of the point some of the others are making. Although I think there was a small spell of anti-Boris chants at some grounds before he was driven out, wasn’t there? That was quite extreme circumstances though. Starmer hasn’t been telling people they can’t go to their loved one’s funerals while he was having pissups at Downing Street. Keep politics out of it imo. Same with all the sectarian crap we see from some clubs too - it’s all unneeded and only leads to trouble.

Pulled up. Looked as though halfway round when it wasn’t travelling great the jockey has decided to save it for another day. Definitely well handicapped when the time is right. Will let you know next time it runs so you can get on

Don't talk wet Mutters, literally no one's voices were 'suppressed', hence the thread. The treat about free speech is that Rommers gets to voice his dissatisfaction too.
