How many times have you been angry with the team since you’ve supported them? 13:19 - Feb 22 with 2176 viewsCopfordBlue

I mean to the point where you seriously question why you bother? I can think of 3 times in 50 years when I have been. 1-7 v Peterborough, 1-5 v Norwich at PR and 1-4 v Bolton when we needed a result to have a chance of staying up in 2002.

Losing 5-1 at home to Wimbledon late on in 2002-03 hot on the heels of losing at Rotherham really got my goat. We were looking good for the play-offs.

I didn't go to Bolton thankfully. I was too wasted at the Norwich game, as 70% of Town fans that day also were having been on the pop since silly o'clock.

Oh, and Peterborough, I was in the pub at half-time, again, along with several others.

Two times off the top of my head.

The home game against Newcastle live on BBC where we lost 4-0. The Sir Bobby tribute match. To get hammered really p1ssed me off.

The away game at Nottingham Forest where they needed a win to stay up and we meekly rolled over and lost 3-0. I don't think we had anything to play for but it was so predictable. They needed a win and a game against us was a gift. Any time a team had a bad run and needed to break the cycle along came Ipswich with three points gift wrapped.

Truly impaired.

The 1-1 at Norwich when we went 1-0 up in the 90th. Never quite lost my sh!t like that. Still annoys me to think about it.

The 4-1 loss at Carrow Road as well as the 1-1 in 2018 as mentioned.

The 1-0 loss at Lincoln in the FA Cup.

Probably a few under Lambert.

The 3-1 loss at Leicester this season.

I think for the 7-1 I was just shell shocked

The Southampton home game in 2002 when we let Chris Marsden score that ridiculous goal.

The playoff defeat to Bolton

Any Norwich home defeat

The 1-4 away to Bolton in April 2002.

Never been so annoyed with the team before or since.

Burnley away midweek under Jewell I think. 4-0 and we were just dreadfully inept. I was fuming.

When Mick played Skuse, Hyam and Douglas in a midfield three and I simply thought what’s the point in stopping to drink to watch that. - I didn’t stop drinking and that remains the only time I’ve spent more time in the concourse than the stands.

I’ve probably been angry with the team quite often but I’ll never boo during a match or get personal
with the players - you have to be a special type of moron to do that.

If we are talking last season, I was mainly tolerant but Man Utd away was really annoying. Soton at home goes without saying too.

There was a time near the end one of Lambert or Cook where I just stopped watching. Madge said one day, "Do we need to be back for the football?", and I, for the first time, didn't care if I missed it.

Both Bolton away for me.

2-0 down after 20 mins in the play off first leg at Bolton in the Marcus Stewart game. Thankfully the team didn't feel like throwing the towel in!

Bolton 4-1 in the second Burley PL season - really can't think of many worse days than that.

Never in over 57 years.

Of course there have been disappointments, none more than the semi-final loss to Man City, but I can't say I've ever felt anger, even at the game yesterday.

I supported town from the late 50's until the mid 80's when the team we had then were basically sold off. I went to a few game under George Burley, but they were mainly games where friends of my wife's cousin who were ST holder weren't going to the game and I bunged them a few quid for their seat in the Sir Alf.
The most recent was our home game in the cup against Fulham where we lost 1-3 and Baggott got our only goal.
I still fervently follow town and go to the Three Tuns in Needham occasionally, have a few jars and watch a match.

I remember reading one of the broadsheet's reports the following day (forget which) and they didn't give any of our players more than a 4

Can't remember who, maybe Peralta, but they gave somebody a 2/10!

Luckily I only had to listen on Radio Suffolk. You have my deepest sympathy.

I was actually fuming at that 5-1 Wimbledon game. Wasn't that the season that they got relegated to division 3 (in old terms) and were in an absolute mess? And they absolutely murdered us.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

No, Wimbledon were relegated from the Championship the following season. The 1-5 at Portman Road came after our play off hopes died in the late 2-1 defeat at Rotherham, earlier that week.

A lot of times over the last 56 years. It used to ruin my Saturday night when we lost back when I was younger but the most annoyed I’ve ever been was 2018 at home to Hull in a half empty stadium.
I walked out after 46 minutes after they scored the third. Fuming doesn’t do it justice.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.
