I felt a bit like we’d shot ourselves in the foot before the game even started with KM talking up
Leicester. He’s class and gracious in how he talks about teams, but I wonder if subconsciously the players buy into that talk too much. I don’t want us to respect teams and think they’ve got better players. I want us to go out there and kick them up the arse and make their lives hell. I want us to be relentless and batter them into submission. |  |

Games like today are frustrating, but our overall return since the start of September has been pretty consistent really, picking up points at a similar rate over pretty much whatever selection of dates you look at.
First 4 games aside, which as you say have lefty us playing catch up all season, we've not gone more than 2 games without a win, and that scenario has only happened a few times too. |  |

Do we just say that after any game we don't win.
Every team I. Every league ever drops points. It's a game of dropping the least points not dropping none. There are two teams in every game.
Also when we have done more than enough to win a game of football that's not a step back that's just football and why we love it it ultimately.
We are in great form again now to be honest. We're not perfect but we are now right in the hunt. Game in hand in 3rd and finally level on games with 2nd. Two points in it and we play them at home. We are right in the mix and we now just need to back ourselves and back the team. Simple as that. We get two cracks at it if needed. Shootout run for autos and playoffs if not |  |

We aren’t the finished article, particularly from a wider squad perspective, the 11 feels close, but we still aren’t there as a collective.
But I don’t think today was step back in performance level, where that has been the case previously in the season, it didn’t feel that way.

Since we lost 3-1 at Leicester – deservedly – in Dec it's W9 D3 L2. That's 2.14 points a game (extrapolated over a season it's 99 points). It's very consistent and shows we are in a very good place, I think we need to keep our heads when results don't quite go our way, we're going to be ok. | |

Yep, we've had now a number of opportunities to get into top two and only one one occasion from memory this season did we take one. I fear we've left ourselves too much to do and the ratio of away games will screw us now especially after dropping home points yesterday.
Millwall the dark horse, can they last the distance? Boro have shown they can put long streaks together, we are really gonna have to pull some results out of the bag now e.g. Stoke, Saints and Scum away. [Post edited 8 Mar 8:49]

It might do. But it's not really taking a step back. We had a poor start to the season. 2.14 ppt is outstanding form and you can't ask for more at this stage at the minute because you then just start to be unrealistic!

It's good but it's not enough. We still have a soft underbelly - especially away - and we still don't have enough about us to win when going behind. Unless we get that sorted we won't be going up this year. Yesterday was another example. Leicester offered little to nothing, particularly in the second half, yet we couldn't take advantage of it. Yes, we should have had penalty, but we should have also done more before then. | |
