Im sorry that is an absolute joke. Yes he has pushed him, but 3 games, for that.

Absolute joke. Leicester player swipes his leg so he gives him a shove.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

This highlights the stupidity of the rules of the game. The referee saw the Leicester player kick out so no further action considered appropriate. He didn’t see the shove so it can be dealt with post match.

I will be very disappointed if this doesn’t act as a catalyst resulting in a more determined effort/approach from Manager & Players alike.

But the ref then spoke to both players… so if he did that and didn’t caution at the time, how can it be subject to further charges afterwards?

Because he may have left it out of the report.

Fa cant get involved if something goes into a report. So if the ref said he saw it and decided no further action spoke to the players nothing would have happened after.

But if the ref didnt include anything about the incident in the report then fa can get involved

After the week we've had with officials, this feels like the cherry on top from the EFL.

Yet to see the ridiculously soft yellows for Furlong, Mehmeti and Matusiwa. Maybe they'll all come tomorrow. Arf, not.

Er, COYFB.

The reason Sorba Thomas was missing our game in the week is because he got sent off for a little kick out just like that.

It would be helpful to see the evidence in cases like this, otherwise it’s only going to fuel more anger against officials.

Although didn't Thomas get two yellows rather than a straight red?

Although just thought, it could be the ref saw the push and spoke to them about that... but not the hair pull.. or vice verser...........

So the real conspiracy theorist could suggest that Busby did think about putting it in his report, but left it out so the FA could get involved afterwards, as a vindictive FU after being escorted from the pitch.

Too much? Probably. And probably giving too much credit to Busby for his ability to think that far ahead.

I've seen more violent conduct at a 5 year old's birthday party. Modern football rally is pathetic.

Leif gets absolutely battered game after game. Elbows, shoves, swipes, usually right in front of a lino who happens to be looking elsewhere. But he always gets up, dusts himself down and gets on with it.

Someone is getting a 3-game ban at every corner that's taken if consistency is upheld.

PGMO and the FA. Should be nothing to do with the EFL.

When was the hair pulling? Which seems to the ban. Any footage? Replacement on 16:54 - Mar 13 with 1077 viewsunstableblue

The story is that it’s hair pulling… but I can’t see anything in that vid. Is this the correct passage of play.

So who plays there? Grieves is covering Kipre. Johnson? Young is out and way too slow.

The accusation is the Leicester player falls over due to his hair being pulled. And that's why he kicks out (in itself a red card offence). Obviously the footage is inconclusive. Perhaps Leif admitted it. Dunno.

I can only assume that they had access to a different camera angle. Of course, Ashton would have had the access too and he is rather p*ssed off about the response.

If it's a hairpull then it's because they're both scrapping for position. Probably trying to hold on to each others shirts, one has longer hair than the other and gets an accidental tug.

This is the only thing I can think of.

Common sense should be that it was accidental, and the reactions from both players would be a yellow for both.

A three game ban for that is utterly ludicrous.

I have a very strong suspicion that whoever's decision to ban LD for 3 games for violent conduct, must have been watching some BBC footage

Doesn't matter who the broadcaster was, the BBC have obviously got hold of it & somehow made it look like LD did to the Leicester fella what that inmate did to that Soham bloke

That's obviously what's happened here, because if it's not exactly how I've just described, then there is definitely an agenda by all of the powers that be against Ipswich Town FC

We are getting completely fcuked over by the EFL this season. Whether it's dubious penalty decisions going against us at both ends and fixture congestion.

Time to turn this into a positive and form a SAF-like siege mentality.

Me and my mate were sat directly behind the goal in the upper tier my mate called the hair pull at the time, and said we'd dodged a bullet that the ref missed it.
