Protest needed surely 17:46 - Mar 24 with 2769 viewsCobboldCrusty

Not sure TWTD is the place to organise this necessarily and I've contacted Blue Action to find out what they'll be doing as I think they could be good.

But yeah either way I think it's vital that before, during, after the next game on Easter Monday we make our position felt as fans that we will not stand for this.

Whether that means missing the actual game by setting up outside, creating banners, whatever else I don't know. Just trying to throw in a chant here or there won't cut the mustard.

Honestly, what is the alternative? Just hope it goes away and keep giving them your money?

if you organise a demonstration you risk finding out that twtd isn't typical of the wider world.

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

The bedwetting is your pavlovian response to a situation.
Organise a protest, go for it. Make a 3 man stand over a situation that will have been forgotten about by then

Twtd certainly isn’t representative of the wider Ipswich fan base.

Nope. I just do me. Not sure that you fully comprehend anarchy, and before you ask I'm not about to explain it to you

care to explain what part of this you have a problem with? I've been to most games in the last four years and supported the team for over twenty years through thick and thin.

I know what the club means to me and if you're a fascist sympathiser who wants to tolerate this cr*p then suit yourself but I don't want something I love being conflated with the spreading of hate, prejudice and bigotry.

In all seriousness, you’re clearly passionate about this, but what is your stance? I appreciate you’re along the lines of mass exodus, or banners or the like… but if that doesn’t happen, what’s your thought process after that? Giving up your season ticket?

Not trying to poke the bear or anything, just genuinely interested as to how far you’re prepared to take your stance/anger?

yeah it's a fair question and giving up my season ticket is something I would consider if I feel this is brushed under the carpet and not enough people seem to care. let's see I guess.

I am amazed that people think missing just one game in the name of standing up for something you believe in so hugely radical.

football is about more than wins, obviously. otherwise we wouldn't be here.

Simply nothing better to do. Just don't turn up. The majority will not mind :)

Why are you assuming most of Blue Action feel the way you do?

Surely you though, a life long socialist, will be supportive and express that you have no time for right wing grifters using your club in this way?

Excuse me sir but is it ok if I go to the next few games this season and give the club my time, my money and support as far more interested in going for promotion than what you have written.

Blah blah blah protest for this, protests for that in this country every damn week . My god get a grip of yourself and stop with over the top seriously boring woke nonsense or is that going to offend too.

Blue Action havent said anything about this. Not that they have to, they may all be Farage fanboys who knows, that its up to them.

But the fact that the most prominent club fan group have said nothing suggest that they will be keeping out of it.

1
Protest needed surely on 20:22 - Mar 24 with 282 viewsbillabasblue

That’s great and then those of us who support the clubs position could arrange a nice counter protest to your protest and we can all kick off and ruin our chances of promotion or we could agree to grow up and worry about football rather than politics

Considering that according to oppinion polls, around 25% of the population would vote for Reform, surely this sort of action would just serve to divide the fanbase even further and probably cause trouble in the stands.
