Transferred for a Championship record fee, jumping up in playing standard massively, being away from family and friends for the first time ever, away from everything you know or have ever known and dropped into a squad of ridiculous attacking talent after having ZERO pre-season with us, just straight into a promotion battle.
Then imagine after just 8 months into a 5 (FIVE) year contract, some of the fan base have already written you off as an expensive mistake and suggesting you will be sold or loaned out never to be seen again.
Sindre is a project, he is highly rated and big things are expected of him.
Let's give him a minute to find his feet and have a good pre-season given all he's dealt with in his start to life at Town. Yeah? No one should suggest he is going to tear the Premier League apart, but he's got all the hallmarks of coming good as he builds the physicality required for this league and beyond. |  |

He *is* a “project”, as many of his age are in the prem - and it’s often part of that to be loaned out to develop further.
He certainly has the physicality that we’ll need in the Prem if we stay up; only KM and staff will have been seeing enough of him to know if he has the potential to cut the mustard in it. |  |

I think keeping him here and playing and training with new players of a higher level is going to be a good thing for his development next season moving him from a to b might be unsettling. Lincoln would be a good move for him though in theory.

The trouble is a Championship loan has the potential to be equally as brutal. If he's not effective he will be cast aside and we cant really risk that from a development point of view.
I think somewhere in Holland would be a great loan for him. He needs a less intense and more technical league and ideally somewhere he can play as a no 10 all year long.
He's absolutely got to get bigger, stronger and more powerful in pre-season whatever happens. | | | |

I’ve watched him and i agree. Theres a lot to like about him. In addition to the points you raise, he's a heck of a shot on him, good vision and control.
Add in a proper pre-season and the experience in the ham and egg Championship and I think you’ll see a stronger player next year. I can see him playing more centrally. |  | | |

I think he'll be part of the squad next season.
As he's under 21 he won't count towards the 25 man squad and we're going to need all the players we can get if 2024/25 is anything to go by. | | | |

I watched him play for the Norway U21s, and he was like a man in a boys' team.
I find him very exciting to watch as he has great vision. He doesn't quite seem to get "stuck in" enough, but I have no doubt we should keep him in the squad, and manage his minutes upwards. |  |

Agree. I can't see a loan that is particularly constructive in this country, and I don't see the mileage in him going abroad for a loan, whereas there's potential to make really big strides and grow into life here in the PL. Not sure I can fully justify that logically, but that's the feeling I get. |  |

I remember a raw Dalian Atkinson finishing a season as a kid and coming back the next season as a monster of a man. Not gonna lie, I thought we'd see more green shoots of promise for £17m than he showed. I thought Omari showed more in that first half of his first season.
BUT, it was very difficult for him to come in when we were playing catch up after a bad start and I have had to check myself that the lad is just 19!
I was dissapointed we didn't see more of him going down the outside like at QPR and he and thus we became very predictable. He also frustrated me a lot with over zealous fouls when we had the opposition full back penned in and gave them an easy get out.
It didn't really help him connect with fans that he rarely seemed that happy and a bit moody all the time which in fairness was probably just a lack of confidence.
Given he's under 21, we'll have him in the building next year i'm sure to pad out the numbers in the squad but might take a look at a loan if he's not seeing much action by January, | | | |

If he had been on loan to us this season, would we have seen enough to buy him? Especially as we are in a higher division next season. I don’t think so.
Obviously, that’s hypothetical.
We own him, he’s on a long contract, he’s young, and a lot of people in football believed in his potential nine months ago. Enough for us to make a significant investment. And there were certainly plenty of positive moments this season.
So it’s all about what’s best for his development, and is that being a part of a squad in the Premier League?
