I know some of them came second hand from Bedford Town in the 1950s. They were still in use until relatively recently.

Makes me wonder what happened to the old iconic North stand scoreboard, I think we sold it to Watford.

I guess its a bit big to flog as old memorabillia and ended up being broken up and trashed

I remember the same, think it went for parts as they had the same scoreboard. In 2001, the Greene King concertina tunnel was given to Hampton and Richmond Borough as we'd changed sponsors.

Bedford Town FC was the location of Harold Macmillan's "never had it so good" speech, which was of course also in the 1950s.

Either Bedford thought that anything Harold liked had to go, or Ipswich thought that anything that impressed Macmillan was worth having!

Thanks. A big change, RIP The Practice Pitch. Although the astro has been down for years, having that 2nd pitch area out the back was iconic and I think unique. Now the stadium boundary moves to the new building it will feel very different. Impressive upgrade though.

I'm not so sure, that ticket office did seem a bit reminiscent of the old portacabins we had had school back in the day.

It looked a bit cheap and nasty, but Marcus Evans'sy for me.

Loving that we are staying at PR but modernising the stadium, it feels like almost every time I go to or pass PR something has changed for the better.

If we can somehow stay up we are gonna have some ground in a few years time.

Looking forward to christening the new fanzone with a pint late August.
