Poll: Is Micheal Mcintyre actually funny?

Of course he is. Couple of Midlands clubs sniffing there.

It’s a shame given how he ended the season but the writing was on the wall for him once Wes signed a new contract really. He’s unlikely to ever be good enough for the prem anyway

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

If both McAteer & Ogbene are being shipped out, might that suggest that we have somebody else to come in on the right side, in an attacking role?
Fatawu will be our starter & we also have Wes on a new contract, then I guess Ben Johnson can do a job there, or as a wing back (as can Wes), but we would suddenly be looking a bit light on that side, especially if one of the above gets a nasty injury.

Going to be a financial hit if we sell him. Reckon it’s a loan with an obligation or similar.

No great surprise, he's behind at least 2 of our RWs and with squads of 25 players each one is valuable

Bit disappointed about this because I still think there's a player there to be unlocked. People have probably been saying that for 5 years though.

I can't say I have an issue if either or both left.

KM is a good player, solid pro and I like him a lot but if we are serious about staying up, neither are at the level we need. Both have value and whilst we may not get back what we spent - both should bring a fee or a decent loan/ future obligation.

CO - just hugely unlucky with injury for me. Direct, quick and aggressive.

No issue if one stays, either, though.

Oh there is but even if unlocked, not sure it will be at a level we need now.

20 odd million we paid for those 3 players. Wonder how much can be recouped if any.

The reality is with a 25 man squad (26 with Egeli) having 3 options in each position is not realistic. If one of Burns or Fatawu gets injured, then they can be covered by Egeli and Johnson. J Clarke can also play there if needs be.

As soon as he gets the ball and runs he looks very threatening. Unfortunately if a defender comes across or he’s free to cross then that’s when his threat stops.

He definitely isn’t good enough for the PL - the price tag isn’t his fault but we definitely overspent on him by around £10M.

Well if McAteer was £11m on a 4 year deal he’ll stand us at £8.25m, and if Ogbene was £8m on a 4 year deal he’ll stand us at £4m.

Suppose we’ll need to weigh up whether to take a loss as things currently stand or take a loan deal and hope they have good seasons to recoup more money next summer.

Be a shame to see him go. As others have said he seemed to be growing into the team in the final third of last season. His transfer fee often seemed to be used, unfairly, as a stick to best him with.

Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt

"By around £10M".

You think he is a far worse player than the £3.5M-rated Harry Clarke then.

I am sure that if he is sold his fee will shock you. It won't be for anywhere close to being as low as £2M.

Putting sentimentality aside, I think it's madness that we are keeping injury prone Burns ahead of McAteer.

Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

Clarke and AAH very obvious. I’m not surprised by the other two either. Hutch is the level we need and neither of these two are remotely close unfortunately. I’m also surprised we kept Wes tbh, although maybe a harder one to offload and he’s likely more happy to play a squad role (at a guess).

We'll get a decent fee for McAteer to reinvest, both of them would/will get marginal game time. That's the difference surely.

Premeir League squads have big players on the bench. If Fatuwa gets injured then we are relying on Wes who is made of glass.

Burns an experienced pro and likely will be part of leadership group. Plus for what we paid for him he deserves a year in the prem.

There certainly is that worry, but he did seem to come back really well from his ACL. Maybe the year out helped some other issues settle down a bit, and I definitely prefer him as a player and leader. He's one who can make the best of his assets as a bit part player (I hope).

We won't, will 100 per cent be a loan this year with a view that he would reintegrate if we were relegated as a back up plan.

McAteer I think i'd prefer if we can get a loan fee for the year and keep him on the books. Get him a full season under his belt. If we go down he's the sort of player you could reintegrate back into the squad.

Wasn't impressed for the first few months but he really did turn it around towards the end of the season. If our strikers hadn't set records for all the wrong reasons he could have had very decent figures.

Two observations. Burns will be back-up, KM will attract a half decent fee/ loan to buy obligation. Suspect KM's wages will be more than Burns.

You can't keep both Burns and KM or CO. Burns is a solid pro and will be adequate back up.
