Dodgy for the first quarter, but seems to have grown into the game.

If nothing else, at least his personal resilience seems to have improved this season.

Was going to say similar, he has been almost faultless since half time.

I thought he was awesome defensively. Solid as a rock, nothing got past him on the floor or in the air. Contender for motm for me.

Best start for 27 years. Lambert in

I think it was more than one but he and Wilson both looked poor with their passing first half and much better with it second half.

Defensively I think Nsiala had a good game.

Wrong. Four at the outset. Improved in leaps and bounds after that and played well.

You know those matches when we continually pumped the ball into the opposition box and they had a towering centre half who invariably headed it clear? Toto was that man today.

He missed a fairly simple header in the area on around 70 minutes. That's the slight concern but he was good today, didn't dive in where he might have done in the past.

I don't want to see him Wilson and Holy passing the ball around the back too often though.

Toto was immense in the 2nd half. No way can he be dropped from the team even if all defenders are fit.

Think the way that Rochdale stood off him and Wilson showed how we need to get better passers there if we are to continue with this style of football - imagine how much better we'll look if they have to loose a man or two to press us as we ping it around midfields pretty easily as it is

There was a period of 10 minutes where there were 4 really poor misplaced passes

Hmm.

I will need to rewatch as I don't recall them all being from Toto. He did one really bad pass straight to the opposition in our own half but I don't recall any others like that.

Counted 4 bad passes overall, but he does defend well otherwise

I don't remember that many from Toto, but in the first 10 minutes a number of players were misjudging their passes in the conditions.

Overall, but the post was "the first quarter" and "the outset".

He certainly misplaced another one badly in the second half but overall he was excellent defensively.

It was directly following the 1 really bad one, however far that was into the game

He bossed it. Didn't do a Ramos and run 80 yards dribble past 8 players to welly one in the top bins, but otherwise bossed it.

Defensively he's been really solid. We don't need anything more from him with both Dozzell and Teddy dropping deep to collect.

Think the thread is largely very positive.

Didn't have a great first 20 minutes (ish) with those misplaced passes but was pretty much faultless from there on in.

Actually thought he was excellent.

Just distribution poor, defensively he was outstanding, and that’s his main role at the end of the day.

There were four SB and I feared the worst at that stage but I thought he did well to pick himself up from that and he played really well for the rest of the game.

Toto on 17:26 - Sep 26 with 2060 viewsDarth_Koont

First half it seemed as if we were asking the CBs to get the team moving forward and release the fullbacks with 40 yard passes (which Wilson did pretty well to be fair).

But not really their game.

In pure defensive terms, Toto was excellent.

I don't want to sound pedantic but there were at least 3 very poor passes first half straight to their players. And at least two of those put us under pressure. And he seems to just have that in him too often.

I think Toto is good defensively but isn't a great footballer.

Well if you "don't want to sound pedantic" you should probably check the initial post which said quarter not half.

Pedants should really get things right when being pedantic, especially when the post they are being pedantic about referred to the first quarter.

Otherwise it just looks a bit embarrassing.

He did rather more than one bad pass in the first half. He defended well, but we had to defend a lot more than we should have because he kept giving the ball away.
That said, he then made one really good through ball and after that he didn't do much wrong.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.
