If you are happy with that, then fair enough. I however, expect a lot, lot more from the players playing in an Ipswich Town shirt. I blame the manager for 99% of it.

I think we need to give Lambert this season and next. If come end of next season we aren't up.. he then needs to go. But I think here's a style that's being used and taking time to implement

There's something there.

Christ alive.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Nothing like knocking the ball about between defenders easily in your own half in League 1.
Nothing wrong with trying to build from the back - but we don't do that. We pass it about 30m times between defence and goalkeeper and then we lump it big once a player is closely challenged. It's embarrassing to watch. By the time we lump it up, their whole team is behind the ball and takes it off us. The predictability is so depressing.

I like your patience but giving him this season and next??? I can’t see how giving him 10 years would make any difference. He’s been in management a long time now and he still wouldn’t know what a team was if it came and hit him on the head.

Because I don't think Evans gave him a 5 year deal with the aim of just get us up.
I think a lot has been said about things not being set up right behind the scenes and I think that's the true reason for the 5 year deal. Help Evans rebuild the foundations of the club from youth up. It's gonna be frustrating as hell. But I think that's the aim.

I hope you are right and time will tell.
If that was the case though, I’d have either asked Mowbray to name his price for the job after Hurst was binned or on the cheap option, appointed Burley as DoF with Dyer as manager, or Dyer with a DoF of his choice if he felt Burley would undermine him, or just Dyer with an assistant of his choice.
Bobby Robson was 35 when he became Ipswich manager having been sacked by Fulham. Alf Ramsey was 35 and had never managed. Dyer is 41 so if he isn’t ready now, he’ll never be. What’s to lose?

I don't think we are to far from that happening Tbh. The dyer thing anyway.
It's interesting PL has started talking about how "the club is in a great condition" etc. " The club... More than. We. I. Etc
First half was mind numbing with the 2 CB's ending with a big hoof up after about 20 passes between themselves.
Second half was a lot better.
We still do too many backward passes. some points we were well into their half, but just to keep the ball, we played it right back to the defenders to start again......we aren't bayern munich unfortunately. Get it in and around the bloody box and /or have a shot!
