Certainly showing that it hurts more than Lambert.

Yes, but Mick liked him.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

You can tell by the way he talks he doesn’t respect Lambert as his manager.

That’s the way I took it rightly or wrongly.

Footballers know if a manager is up to it. It’s quite clear they don’t rate Lambert.

Is he taking responsibility for his performance?

I like Chambo, but that was COMPLETELY unacceptable. At his age and level that many missed passes it shocking. Did he take responsibility for his display?

He had a poor game but he isn’t a right back that should have played the whole season there, especially at 35 years old.

Getting mixed signals....

The manager saying we were “really good”, our captain telling us it’s “not good enough”

I’m starting to worry that Lambert doesn’t have this under control after all...

It's not difficult to

He has to show leadership on the pitch.

It sends out the wrong signal to the rest of the team that he is sill captain.

Time for a change there as well. Someone else needs to take some responsibility in that team.

But we keep hearing this Joe, talk is cheap now and there's too many of them that just aren't backing it up and that includes Chambers. He had such a good start to the season, he now looks hugely off the pace, like a lot of them unfortunately. 11th this season looks hugely optimistic.

But seriously, if Chambo went on the radio tonight, all he should be talking about is his performance, how poor he was and how he let down the team, 1 or 2 misplaced passes are fine, a few defensive mistakes.... but he was just making basic errors all game (albeit better second half), and that is demoralising for team mates, is poor leadership and stalls the team

....gave away a penalty or scored an own goal?!!?

Add that to his association with McCarthy and I expect you'd have him shot at dawn.

The manager is an utter clown, he has no relationship with his players - it is toxic and totally disfunctional.

if the manager doesn't speak to 90% of the players, at all, then how long can it go on for?

Who though? There's not many leaders in the squad. How do you think the squad would respond to the long standing captain being suddenly stripped of the captaincy? I sometimes wonder what planet our fans are on. Of all the issues at the club, Chambers being club captain is well down the list.

I'm sure Lambert could put a square peg in (Luke Thomas maybe!) or perhaps throw in a youth who's nowhere near it as a human sacrifice?

Ward is basically the captain anyway, he's the only one Lambert even bothers to talk to

I don't know, with ME who knows?! I totally agree, PL shouldn't be in a job, he's an utter embarrassment and makes me ashamed to be a Town supporter the way we are currently. Chambers is our captain and although he spoke honestly and his words were sincere he's the leader on the pitch. Whether he leads by example in his play or is vocal in the way he organises the players on the pitch, he's not really been doing either.
