No, As mentioned if we have got Harper and we're in for Crooks, we wouldn't have taken Max aswell. We may have lost out on him, we may not have... There will be 60 players linked with town, we will only sign a certain amount of them
Also, it's been mentioned Power was loaned out by PC and then Sold by him so we may not have even picked up the phone. [Post edited 16 Jun 2021 18:12]

Not especially, as I've no idea where we are in discussions with players and agents. It's not like we are a basket case unable to sign anyone, so I'm sure we'll be getting bodies in the door.
I'm a bit concerned about the scale of the project, and whether we may be chucking some babies out with the bath water. But that's slightly different. A surprising number of people seem convinced we're only going to improve both the quality of players and then our results. All to be proven imo. |  |

Suppose but first friendly is in about 3 weeks, think training starts next week ? . Just thinking if we only intend to keep 10% of those from first team squad think that what Brett was quoted as saying . So say thats 5 players plus we have signed 2 more . That would mean we have 7 of the 20 odd first team squad at the moment. If i have this right its going to be a busy month or so ! |  | | |

I wouldn’t say that, but I’m surprised we extended so many contracts - presumably with the idea of selling most. That seemed unlikely to me and so far we’ve sold one (very sellable) player. There’s a lot of players to sell there. |  |

I think we're aiming higher than we expected. Power, Connolly would be OK but I know I'd take Crooks and Harper over them if possible.
My gut feeling is that Harper is first choice but Power 3rd/4th choice. Great if we land our 1st choice bit if we don't our 2nd/3rd/4th choice might have gone. |  | | |

Where’s the criticism, it’s clear things aren’t going how we’d like them to at the moment as we aren’t getting bodies over the line. It doesn’t mean necessarily anyone is in the wrong, or is doing things wrong but it’s obvious things have moved slower than we want them too | |

Didn't stop us getting Evans did it, which of most would have been the most obvious to stay at Wigan, so your theory has no legs im afraid
They have picked up some targets. Same as we have. They clearly aren't in the same market as only Power is one linked with us and that was purely because he was an ex wigan player. | |
