Pretty sure he gave a radio interview recently where he confirmed season ticket sales and mentioned those numbers of players we were in for.
I expect if West Brom weren’t a mess we would have already confirmed Harper which would have alleviated some concerns. |  | | |

With all due respect you do seem to have a downer on the club at the moment. Nobody knows what is going on. I just think people should wait and see. My personal feeling is that we will all be pleasantly surprised by our side come August. If it turns out I'm way off I'll gladly eat humble pie but I'm confident. |  | | |

It's clearly a slow market generally at the moment, albeit Wigan have got a few done. As the lads pointed out on the KOA podcast today, both clubs and players are unsure what the market value is for players in terms of transfer fees and wages at the moment. Hopefully over the next couple of weeks things start moving as players want to get futures sorted before pre season starts. | | | |

I think there’s a lot to be excited about next season, but thibk there is so much work to do at the moment and I’d love to see a lot of it done before we go back to pre season next Saturday.
People talk about Cook needing to reset the culture etc, how is that going to work when most of them are still here and no replacement are in…it potentially leaves that same funk over the club that people are so keen to get rid of | |

I feel that Ashton and others have bought in decisively to Cook's approach, but at the same time, perhaps lost a bit of their calmness in judgement. Cook is enthusiastic but, as we've already seen , not always measured. He seemed genuinely surprised when the visible increase in energy that would be clearly seen on the pitch failed to materialise. Then the big axe was swung.
I think that all the management team will learn together as they get to know each other better. Cook maybe thought that the No 1s that he identified for each position would respond to the clarion call, but is discovering that we'll need to prove ourselves before the Ipswich project proves the instant draw he had hoped for. Very interesting that Wigan seem to be shopping in the same market and getting deals over the line. Their takeover and having money coupled with Richardson saying has turned into a massive ball ache for us |
As a matter of interest who are the players that Wigan have signed so far that we were offering terms to/fees for?
Is Wigan's expectation to win this division and compete in the Championship next season? Or are we losing out on competing for players that are at a level for staying in this league? The latter would be a big concern but I struggle to connect any of these dots at the moment. |  |
