Looked real quality. I think Donacien has been playing at less than 100% fitness and Clarke made a really big difference tonight.

He was a completely different level to Donacien

I mean love Donacien

But come on… look what it looks like when we have a true dynamic right back to match Davis on the left

I don't see how JD and Harness get in the starting lineup except through injuries. Both Clarke and Broadhead are mustard innit.

Don't think the guy put a foot wrong all game, absolutely superb full debut.

He will have harder tests but that was really promising

I thought their player was going to break into a thousand pieces in that 50/50 lol.

Massive difference between a seasoned League One defender and a defender comfortable in the championship

Love JD but this games ruthless

If we want promotion , we need upgrades IMHO

This is a massive one and so is Broadhead. His balance and speed of feet and first touch are superb

Gonna be a good end to the season whatever happens

Buckle up

Absolutely excellent.

His physical dominance and ability to step away from a marker with great skill and power was probably the best performance I've seen by a Town player for a long, long time. Good distribution too.

Crisp and accurate first time passing. The pace of our football was improved through having him and Broadhead on the pitch. Very promising.

Best full debut I've seen in years

Can’t knock JD but Clarke looks levels above. Broadhead had a really good first 20-30 mins then tailed off a bit, he can actually control the ball though so instantly looks a step up on that left side.

McKenna hasn't been one for rotating full backs - Davis has been an almost ever-present when fit and so has Donacien. So I think Clarke and Davis will be locked in now. Depending how much he cares about the Burnley game, Donacien and Leigh may get a run out on Saturday.

ETA - That sounds disrespectful to Donacien and Leigh; didn't mean it to.

Both were excellent. We now have much more of a threat both on the right and left. Harry Clarke adds a totally new dimension to the right. I have a feeling that Broadhead could be our new Marcus Stewart.

It was no coincidence that Burns' performance in the first half was probably his best of the season. Clarke's ability to get up and down gave him options on the ball and space to attack.

LOL.

Me too. Although I did think that he'll probably pick up a few unnecessary bookings in this league that he won't always get in the Championship.

That was a very noticeable difference. The pace at which we could move it around was excellent.

I think he could be a huge signing.

We will become far less predictable as a team if we carry a genuine threat down both sides. I think Burns will also hugely benefit from Clarke, as it will take a lot of the attacking pressure of his shoulders and he will receive the ball more in dangerous areas, with Clarke very happy to overlap.
