I note that the police comment is that in the light of new material coming to light and a witness withdrawing there is no realistic prospect of a conviction.
We need to be very careful before double guessing the reasons for this. He is a product of his environment and his lifestyle might leave something to be desired but he is innocent until proven guilty. |  | | |

If his PR people have any sense, they'd openly a knowledge that he's undergoing behaviour management, and perhaps to the extent of looking into the impact of domestic abuse.

Unless you know something about the Evans case that isnt in the public domain then they are very different imo. He was found to be not guilty, Greenwood's case was not pursued as the witnesses were seemingly unwilling to testify. [Post edited 2 Feb 2023 15:45]

As far as i understand the events, it was decided that she was found to have been in a fit state to consent and the additional evidence highlighted this. I also believe the accuser / victim had previously made an accusation about a professional rugby player which was thrown out straight away. Ultimately, not many people know what happened that night truthfully but i do find it difficult that someone can be vilified for the rest of their life for something they were found not guilty of. That is not a good precedent to set. Like a lot of people I've seen the Greenwood stuff which is horrific and in my opinion he is extremely fortunate that he has no case to answer. | | | |
