Next 6 games.. how many points? 00:15 - Sep 16 with 4467 views | The_Romford_Blue | Next 6 for us: - Southampton (a) - Villa (h) - West Ham (a) - Everton (h) - Brentford (a) - Leicester (h) I’m going win at Southampton. And home wins to Everton and Leicester. And a point at Brentford and West Ham. And a decent enough home draw with Villa. So 12 points. 3 wins, 3 draws and suddenly we’re unbeaten in 8 games and mckennas being linked with the now vacant Man U job. Uppa Towen

Next 6 games.. how many points? on 08:41 - Sep 16 with 2694 views | baxterbasics | I think 9 points with the wins coming v SOU, EVE, LEI would be brilliant (albeit not easy) and should put some space between us and the R-zone. Any extras we pick up via draws v the rest will be a happy bonus. No doubt there may be some shocks both in and out of ITFCs favour though. That's the game. So 9 points = great 11 or more = smashed it

Next 6 games.. how many points? on 08:43 - Sep 16 with 2678 views | SomethingBlue | There needs to be at least one win among that lot. I'm not as keen as most seem to be on piling loads of pressure on the Saints game, that's going to be very tough and a draw would be fine. After that, West Ham feels like somewhere we can eke a point and you'd hope for four from Everton and Leicester if we are to set ourselves up for a proper go at staying up. That makes, what, six points from the six games and eight from our first 10. Feels about right to me given our start, and that we're still acclimatising, but wouldn't really want to end with fewer. I'd absolutely love us to beat Villa. One of my best mates is a Villa fan and ST holder and he talks about Ipswich like we're the Dog & Duck enjoying our 5 minutes in the big time.

I said 8. I think if we can get 8 points then we'll be on 10 from 10 and that feels like a decent return as we've bedded ourselves in to premier league life and with the new signings finding their feet and tactical understanding. Over the course of 10 games that'll be a pretty decent sample size that's reflective of premier league opposition having played City, Brighton, West Ham, Brentford & Southampton away, and Liverpool, Villa, Fulham, Leicester, Everton at home. More than 8 would be slightly ahead of par I think, less slightly below.

8 pts would be an incredible return. If we are on 10 pts after 10 games, that means, we have gone through the hardest part of the season (because we are new / gelling / adjusting) and are tracking to stay in the League.

By hook or by crook just get to 38 points, I think that will be enough. Or get to 10 wins should be enough overall. I knew the level was huge but shocked me just how good every single team is. I watched Wolves Newcastle and Wolves completely dominated and looked really good for 70 minutes. Even Everton are scoring for fun for instance. Southampton first 30 v Man U outclassed them. Going to be some effort to finish 17th but McKenna is a God so who knows.

Yep, cliche but there's certainly no easy games. The games we were looking at as the really, really tough ones last season suddenly become the ones you almost have to win this season. Obviously a different and improved side but that's also true of those we came up with.

What could kill us is that I can't see any player getting into double figures for goals in that squad. If we can be above the bottom 3 or worst case within say 6 points of 17th come January then that we might he able to get a bonafide Prem goalscorer in (far easier said than done).
