Surely the American people will stand this about as long as the British put up with the impact of Truss.
Interestingly, if you look at the commonality between Trump and Truss, and you take out the 'Tru' (let's face it, there's not much true about either of them), you're left with MP and SS respectively.
Hold on a darn minute... He said Canada is America's closest friend and ally. Either he or successive British Prime Ministers are lying. Invade Canada, I say.

Trump said the US has no greater friend than the UK. 24 hours after he said the same about France.
It's a bit like bands who love it here in...*checks note*...the city they happen to be in.
Wow. He has said that Trump wants to collapse the Canadian economy because it will make it easier to annex them.
Someone has seen through the very thin mask and is calling it out.
Balls time Keir....
'Trump flippantly referring to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as “Governor” in his post underscores the president’s previous comments that he wants to annex Canada and make it the 51st US state.'
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."

The sooner he realises he isn't playing Risk the better.

I would like to say the sooner he has a heart attack the better. But I’ve seen the possibly even bigger nutter who’d take over! I think we all just have to ride it out. Maybe it’s a good time to become an alcoholic (but not bourbon once the tariffs kick in).
The phrase "fighting a war on multiple fronts" seems applicable here.
Trump and Co. have gone full in on multiple fronts to upset the apple cart imho.
Dare I say I hope this becomes a Truss esque moment where Markets tank, reciprocal tariffs hurt the US economy. At some stage (which is likely to a very low point) other Republicans fear the worst in the mid term elections. But ultimately they create so much chaos the current administration ends up focusing on internal matters rather than screwing Ukraine/Europe etc.
Maybe I'm an idealist but...hopefully instead of PWEI, it will be (Trumpism) TWEI.

Trump has the run over the republicans. I don’t think Vance would at all, the knives would be out for him very quickly in the event of an elevation. I don’t think he’d ride that out.
You hope for Europe that someone takes Donald out.
Making sure I remind myself that you're definitely not a contrarian.

He recently resigned because he is very unpopular so the contrarians are in the majority now are they? Why do you have such inability to cope with views that don't match your own that you have to make unprovoked digs? It's really anti-social behaviour for a public message board.

Unfortunately there is an inexplicably high number of people that absolutely adore trump and everything he stands for. They probably either won't watch this from Justin T as they don't watch any news, or through the Trump lens of fox news where they will double down as it is framed as insulting the US.
Trump himself has already doubled down as expected.
Trudeau at all time low, presently 10% behind in popularity poll, these are the findings of asking Canadians who may know more of Trudeau than a football forum thousands of miles away.

I was more talking about the thread and the speech rather than historically but it's a fair point you've made. It was a bit tongue in cheek but clearly misjudged.
Sorry about that, apologies.

Edit Wow, even an apology gets a down vote from Bloots nowadays. What a surreal world we are living in.
