Bit worried about Potter going already!! on 22:09 - Aug 22 with 2564 views | ElderGrizzly | Reports that Forest and West Ham might need new managers by next weekend. McKenna would be crazy to go to West Ham though
Bit worried about Potter going already!! on 22:20 - Aug 22 with 2445 views | SE1blue | I love McKenna but I think he needs to rebuild his potential appeal to PL clubs at the moment.

Bit worried about Potter going already!! on 22:35 - Aug 22 with 2309 views | Marshalls_Mullet | I'm not worried, I don't think anyone will be in for him. Which is good, cos he's got a job to do here.

Bit worried about Potter going already!! on 00:38 - Aug 23 with 1968 views | football | Starting this already..Firstly they both have managers at the moment and secondly he has committed his future. Why is it that everyone seems to think he'lll just scuttle off. These posts really are getting boring
Bit worried about Potter going already!! on 04:15 - Aug 23 with 1788 views | victorysquad | He is getting a ton of experience here in a relatively low pressure situation on a cracking wage. Ideal with a young family imo Even the experience of this summer window, the leavers, the recruitment on how to build town 2.0 etc is all great for him He may disagree but i just see no reason to rush his career and move to a pressure job too soon, he will have seen how well supported he is here, it must mean a lot to him

Bit worried about Potter going already!! on 07:23 - Aug 23 with 1524 views | ITFC_Forever | If McK does go, which I think very unlikely, Potter would be top of my list to replace him. West Ham is a fool’s job, he was mad to take it.

These sorts of people always cite the clubs he "nearly" joined as if that bolsters their argument, when actually it diminishes it.
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

'these sort of people' - can you elaborate please?

Not you, mate. The sort of people who bang on about McKenna being disloyal because he talked to other clubs... but ultimately didn't join them, thus destroying the idea that he's disloyal.

Kompany went to Bayern on the back of a 5 win season. McKenna will definitely be on lists but I can’t see Wedt Ham going for another system guy if they crash and burn with potter.

Bit worried about Potter going already!! on 08:46 - Aug 23 with 1143 views | BloomBlue | West Ham won't take him. Clubs need to keep their fans happy, Hammers fans aren't going to be happy replacing Potter with a manager of a relegated from the Prem team. Yes, we as Town fans can look at the circumstances of where we came from, but Hammers fans won't look at it that way. You can argue Potter's standing was higher than McKenna's, he kept a small(ish) club like Brighton in the PL. Yes it all went t**s up at Chelsea, but Chelsea was a basket club. Hammers fans had concerns about Potter's record at Chelsea but looked at the fact it was a basket club, and instead focused on his previous record at Brighton. They won't do that a second time, i.e., they will simply look at the fact McK managed Ipswich to relegation from the PL, and not the successful journey to it. Hence I don't believe they will want him, and that will mean Hammers owners will go to someone else, probably Ange. Forest will go for a foreign manager from outside the PL [Post edited 23 Aug 9:12]

Kompany went to Bayern due to his illustrious playing career. If he played for mostly Championship clubs there’s no way he would now be managing them.
Don’t think McKenna has ever been as invested in the Town project as he is now on 09:35 - Aug 23 with 890 views | unstableblue | Think he’s very focussed on building a team that can get promoted and stay up

Romford is 95% West Ham including my brother, uncles and cousins. They all rate McKenna and would have him

In typical West Ham style, they think generally they’ll be going for a big name manager who’s trophies etc. But that for actual capable management, McKenna would be a good appointment. Which tbf I agree with. He’d do well there. I hate West Ham and would be gutted if he went to them but I can’t say I haven’t thought it a possibility
