Look how Philogene & Clarke have performed so far and they are in exactly the same mould as Fellows.
You could even argue Fellows is more one dimensional.

I think Fellows is a good player with potentially a higher ceiling and would not have been averse to signing him here. But there is definitely 'logic' in signing McAteer before Fellows. | | | |

Because it was done with 2 defensive midfielders, one that used to cover Davis and some of the players were obviously not good enough for PL so that ship has just sailed with age and money. | |

Teams play us so differently now. Teams are much deeper, they don't give us space in behind. They wont give Leif the run of the pitch.
We are likely to dominate the ball in the majority of games and we will need individual quality to get us through. It is why that Right hand side role is so important. We need a match winner there a la Omari. Someone who can win 1v1 and get his shot off. | |
