Greaves rested, not dropped. Saving him for QPR while not significantly weakening the defence. Johnson better for counter attacking. If Davis is fit, I would save him for QPR as well.

Was tempted by Philogene but save him. He's scored all his open play goals at PR.

Until 2 minutes ago I was thinking we should start Hirst. Then I thought no, he knows how to handle this pressure. Rest him for QPR.

Can see what you are saying about Matusiwa but what is the alternative? The wildcard could be Cajuste if he's fit in this sort of game. I just can't see McKenna not starting Matusiwa. I think of him as our second captain.

Furlong and Greaves looked the most shattered at the end of Saturday but don’t really know whether you could rotate both of those out particularly easily. Strongest XI for Southampton, no idea who that is as so many players not performing too well week in week out. Cant be risking needing a win against QPR. They cut Derby open so many times at the weekend and have nothing to play for, and no pressure on them.
