I appreciate he hasn't signed, but I am rather underwhelmed with us looking at players like this. A 29 year old who made only 13 starts last season.
An old hand in the centre of the park, yes - but as a pacey winger (30 in Nov) I think not.
Aside from those who thought we had, and would be spending, £700m this is still below what we were led to believe would be summer signings.
There is plenty of time yet, but our season ended 44 days ago. The next begins in 45 days. Hopefully there will be some quality who see us as a worthy venture. At the moment, there's a lot needing doing for us to give off that promise. | | | |
