It's how the team perform. Not what they wear.

I think with the ed Sheeran sponsorship, financially shirt sales could be great for us as seen already with the home kit. The away kit could have been another arm of this however it's just a bit sht really.

Agree. Further, we don't deserve a snazzy kit this year. We've been terrible for several seasons and this year we are gazumping the league by signing half the best players. We're gonna have a target on our backs in L1 so we need is a simple kit to deflect from our Tony Big Bollowks transfer policy. 'We're a team here to do things the right way, simply but effectively.'

Also if it all goes t!ts up and we're stood there in tie-die we'll look all the more ridiculous

Exactly this. I've really never understood the fascination with kits at all.

People get so worked up about them.

All those saying the white one is too simple are probably the same people that moan saying they don't like this trim, this pattern this stripe etc. or there is too much going on in another year.

Kits will always change so there is no forever and no kit can appease everyone so if you don't like it wait for another year.

If any of you have been married for any length of time, you’ll all know the best option is to just say it looks amazing and be done with it.

I think its very important for the younger fans to have an identity and fully get behind the kit launches and designs for that reason.

I don't think anyone is that bothered, at least on here.

The anticipation of the home shirt fascinates me.

How different can it really be?

With that said, so many are now feeling a new wave of optimism and it's been bloody ages since we've had such an enjoyable period (even if we're yet to kick a ball) so good luck to anyone getting excited.

Truly impaired.

Seriously, these are two of the worst kits ever produced. But in fairness, what can you do with yellow ? Vile colour :)

People on here moaning about the look of it etc. Then those same people will also say only kids should wear football shirts!!!

So does it matter what they think? Most of the hard to please wouldn’t buy one anyway, as they are adults.

Although when the two are in perfect synchronicity it makes for wonderful memories.

Our early Adidas kits from the late 70's/ Early 80's are iconic and go hand in hand with our achievements.

I care about the kits. I think the away kit is fantastic - clean, crisp and no-nonsense, much like the club is.

I personally think they are an absolute rip off at every club.
Full child's kit should cost no more than £30 and no adult should ever purchase a full kit.

I read that as kilts. I thought at last! A heated debate about kilts. And then I saw kits and all my dreams shattered into tiny shards of sadness.

Iconic football kits are part of why people love the game. Some moments are intrinsically linked with the shirts that were worn for them. The strip we won the UEFA Cup in, the O2 home kit in which Arsenal became the Invincibles, the 1995 maroon and blue Ajax kit that they won the Champions League in. It's all part of it.

I always look forward to the kits being released, I don't lose much sleep over what they look like but if I like them then fantastic. This year's kits are nice, haven't seen either of them in person yet (which often makes the difference), but I've got no major complaints other than that the away kit seems a bit basic. Hopefully it grows on me.

Tbf the pic of the club shop version looks alot better than the announcement one. I'd only seen that one when I posted on this thread originally. I agree now tho it's actually not to bad.

Reminds me of the kit we wore beating Millwall 6-1 in 1978 on our FA cup journey.
It's a yes from me.
