Hmm I guess Cook basically decided to sack Chambers and leave him to find somewhere else without a guaranteed income. Football is a harsh business and I think his actions at the end of last season has left a lot of bad blood. | |

We got into the play offs in the second tier for the only time in a decade with him as captain. I think he did alright on the whole. He's rightly pissed that he was told he'd be kept on then binned off in a 2 minute chat, he's giving a bit back. Nothing to see here really. | |

To be fair, Chambers is nowhere near good enough to be in a team looking to get promoted into the Championship now.
He was probably going to get a new contract under Evans when we had less money, but as he was part of steam that had failed to get us out of Div 3 for 2 years, letting him and the rest go was hardly a mistake.

Great captain and could have beeen retained at CB to school the youngsters. Certainly no worse than Burgess who we spent good money on. People have short memories of how good a clubman he was. He has a right to be vindictive. |  | | |
