I can’t see the Americans being happy with an uninspiring and mediocre manager. And a lot of the managers in the odds list are both uninspiring and mediocre, including Harris.
If this is the route they take, they may as well have just kept Cook. Harris is no better.

Mmmmm - style of football?
Cardiff comments after losing to Coventry before Mick was appointed -
"Fact - there is no tactics that is working, fact - there is no ability to change"
"In the end it was like school yard football. Everybody up and hoof it up to them. Too many players playing either out of position or in areas where they are weaker."

If it happens the I’m finished with this lot.
Pathetic choice
Nothing doing. Everyone who has called or emailed is 'under consideration' unless there is something glaring going on, like just agent talk (Lennon), or potentially out of their depth, (Kuqi).
Expansive searches don't take less than 48 hours and Ashton said, they were only going to start looking at it properly after the Charlton game.

Exactly. I'll be amazed if it ends up being him.

Not saying I want him although his record stands and is at a higher level of football than Cook achieved, and at a younger age.
But what I wondered, given he's out of work. was whether the club might offer him a short-term contract with the promise of an extension if he took us to the play-offs.

If this is true there are questions to be answered by Ashton and O’Leary. Why sack somebody if you don’t have a replacement lined up? Seems totally nuts to me.
Replacing Cook with Harris seems madness too. Track record of success binned, track record of failure wheeled in on the cheap. I cannot think of why else you’d employ him any more than any other club has in nearly a year.
If that’s the case, it tells me the Americans have got cold feet about the club and are preparing to cut their losses.

Might as well offer it to Colin if we are going on that basis of them being out of work.

Every fan everywhere always says that about tactics, even when it's total ballacks.
But his football was dire though; that's true enough. He surely can't be a serious option if they are looking for a particular style of possession-based attacking footie. If they think he'd fit the bill we're donald ducked.
Ah well, far from a done deal so probably no need to worry.
