But he wasn’t going to make it as a peripheral and inexperienced loanee in a side struggling for consistency, form and results. So not at all what we needed as it turned out. |  |

He had a very good cameo at Gillingham in the Trophy. Nothing outrageous but very good when he finally got on the ball.
Other than that he didn’t really show much. But the point is that he’d only just turned 18 when he joined us and parachuted into a team that certainly didn’t find its feet at the start, and arguably still hasn’t.
So whether he was the right player or not, it was definitely the wrong time. | |
