You know he's going to play again at some point. They're not going to sack him or drop him for the rest of the season unless there's a legal issue (which obviously there should be). You could argue by taking him out of the side for a few games would be doing him a favour. You'd be taking him out of the inevitable firing line.
To be completely honest I don't have an issue with him playing. The issue I have is what he did and the fact that somehow he's not being punished by the authorities. I'd have been more than happy to see him sacked, and I do feel it should have been taken out of Moyes' hands by the club. |  |
