Painful. I'm a floating voter too.

I'm not going to watch any of them.

I'd just end up swearing relentlessly at the telly as they are all going further and further down the bullsh1t bingo route. I saw Truss describe house building targets as 'Stalinist' earlier.

Bloody idiots the lot of them.

Mordaunt is right that current politics is broken. Yet she gives no suggestion of changing it in any positive way.

Tudgenhat sounds more genuine but they won't give it to him and so many problems with what he stands for too.

No. Fck em.

As Jonathan Pie said, "It's not like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, it's more like rearranging the cat sh1t in the litter tray."

Summed it up perfectly for me.

In fairness, you're not a conservative voter and your posting history would suggest that you would prefer that we didn't have a Conservative government.

Absolutely nothing wrong with your position.

But it's a leadership contest to be the leader of the Conservative party and Prime Minister of a Conservative government. So it's fair to say that you will have a problem with what any Tory candidate stands for.

When you contrast the five that are left standing with the big beasts of the past who would contend the leadership, and even the candidates in contention three years ago, I think it shows have bankrupt of ideas and personalities the Tory party is.

I'm coming over to the view that Rishi Sunak is the best candidate of the five fir the job of Prime Minister. I like Tom Tugenhat and Penny Mordaunt, and if this was a contest for leader of the opposition then I would prefer either of those two ahead of Sunak.

But whoever wins becomes Prime Minister, and immediately has to make very important decisions with the economy and the situation in Ukraine. Sunak has the experience to do that PM and TT don't.

Truss and Badenoch are not my cup of tea.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

back wasnt Tom Tugenhat been in the Army and wasn't Penny Mordaunt a highly decorated admiral who fought in the Navy in Falklands, the Artic Convoys. Jutland, Trafalgar and defeated the Spanish Armada?

Any of this lot will win the next GE against the current oppersition, lets be honest Labour offer nothing and can't even sort their own party out let alone the country. Its a sad state of affairs!

It just seems to have all the point of Germany, May 1945, after Herr Shickelgruber had blown his brains out - and Himmler, Goring and Doenetz vying to take control of the German state. Seemingly unaware of the carnage (caused by them) that surrounded them.

Goring was deluded enough to think that he would be able to negotiate favourable terms with Eisenhower, as an equal.

Whichever one of these numpties succeeds they will be a mere footnote in history, a question in a pub quiz. Much as, who was Towns manager in the summer of 2018.

And as it stands, for the past 6 months, Labour is on target to walk the next election - all these halfwitted incompetents will do is add to that majority.

As GB summarises, the only reason I am concerned is because the winner is our new PM for the next two years. We have no say, they are never going to be our cup of tea but they are going to heavily influence our future.

With the greatest of respect I can only assume you've been living under a rock for the past several years.

What concerns me the most is that I actually believe you're not in the minority that some of us want to believe.

No real idea of what's been going on, don't really care, and will vote according to the weather and which side of the bed you get out of on the day.

Probably just after you posted something in support of openly bigoted corrupt and incompetent politicians.

And just before you run away and refuse to offer a reason as to why you support openly bigoted, corrupt and incompetent politicians.

What IS it about openly bigoted, corrupt and incompetent politicians that appeals to you, by the way?
