Cameron Humphreys looks a real player doesn't he? 21:11 - Sep 20 with 2804 views | Dubtractor | This is my first proper look at him, and he is so composed, not sure I've seen him misplace a pass yet. [Post edited 20 Sep 2022 21:15]

And then some I’d say Great eye for a pass and seemingly eyes in the back of his head / great vision and awareness around him Playing alongside a great tutor tonight in Ball though - can only help his development

Hard to know if that's because he has big Daddy Dom Ball to back him up or not etc. Thought some of his play was really intelligent and Edwards should be doing bits in the first team based on the last couple of games.

I'm more impressed with him than I was with Dozzell at a similar age. Granted he's playing against much weaker opposition than the Championship sides Dozzell was playing against but he's more powerful and seems more tactically flexible. With Dozzell I always thought he struggled when not in a midfield 3, whereas Humphries can play in a 2 or as one of the 10s. Very early days but also very promising.

He’s going to benefit more staying with us and training every day with better players than going out on loan to a L2 club where the midfield is bypassed. He does look a good player and he’ll learn plenty from Morsy, Evans and Ball and no doubt they’ll all help to develop his game too.

Cameron Humphreys looks a real player doesn't he? on 22:01 - Sep 20 with 2383 views | itfcsuth | I think if you look at the fact he was up against one of the best youth sides in the country, he looked at complete ease at that level. He is a real talent, has a really bright future, must continue to be nurtured correctly - I think he will be a good example of how we look to bring talents through to the first team. Positive that he is under a long term deal under 2025.

Cameron Humphreys looks a real player doesn't he? on 22:40 - Sep 20 with 2044 views | ITFC_Forever | Got around the pitch well tonight as well. Won a foot-race he was second favourite for when they broke on us in the first half, and would frequently pop up on the edge of either penalty box. My MotM tonight.

This is what i liked most - likes a tackle. Good football brain and good fitness. He'll do well.

They might have said nice things, you don't know. "Like that top, colour suits you". That sort of thing.

Cameron Humphreys looks a real player doesn't he? on 07:24 - Sep 21 with 1355 views | tractorboy1978 | He is a real player. But he won't get anywhere near our first team which highlights the issue we have with convincing young lads to sign here at the moment.

Cameron Humphreys looks a real player doesn't he? on 09:09 - Sep 21 with 1103 views | NthQldITFC | I'd like to see him getting a bit of league game action, and a bit of the rotation/early sub philosophy of the front players applied to that central midfield area in games where we can. With four players looking really good in there now, plus Camara to come, KM will have to find a way to keep them all fresh and involved somehow. Good problem to have.

Cameron Humphreys looks a real player doesn't he? on 10:16 - Sep 21 with 993 views | Darth_Koont | He became my favourite Ipswich Town player based on his performances in the FA Youth Cup where he looked a class above. That seemingly limitless energy up and down the pitch, and on and off the ball, combined with real composure and threat in possession isn’t really that common. It was like combining the better qualities of Downes and Dozzell. Obviously that instantly positive feeling towards Humphreys was a LOT to do with a lack of real optimism/excitement for the first team at the end of the 2020-21 season, and a team that flattered to deceive way too often. But very encouraging to see Humphreys rise to the occasion whenever called upon since then. On a connected note, apart from Dom Ball for his goal, assist and general play, Humphreys and Matt Smith of Arsenal looked the standout players. Smith has a lovely way of sliding into space and shielding the ball, either retaining possession and recycling the ball or trying to launch Arsenal’s better attacks. But Humphreys matched him here in most respects but probably with more of an overall game through his energy and defensive work rate. And he’s 3 years younger than Smith with only a fraction of the amount of senior football. I think Humphreys will be the ITFC player who will get the most serious attention from above. So another reason to get promoted and into the top half of the Championship quickly and then his development and rise can match the team’s.
