So it sounds like 12:32 - Feb 27 with 2336 viewschicoazul

….the EU and Westminster have come to an agreement on trade.
That’s so weird because I could have sworn we were all told many many times by certain of TWTD that this would never happen. How odd.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Some outstanding and highly transparent rewriting of history and misrepresentation of people's views from Chico here. The level of trolling on TWTD these days ain't what it was.

I think this is good news, for a problem which I don't think really existed (except in the heads of DUPers and ERGers), but it doesn't solve the problem of the borders between the UK as a whole and the EU.

But hopefully it will improve relations more generally which can only be a good thing, and might lead to further improvements in the Brexit deal.

The only visible improvement I can see is ripping up Brexit and rejoining.

The whole thing has been a monumental car crash.

Christ, could you at least follow GB’s example and post a link to a couple of these posts you refer to.

If you can’t put any effort in, don’t see why anyone else should.

Of course, as the old joke goes "If wanted to go to ......, I wouldn't have started from here", but we are here, so have to make the best of it, which the Tories clearly haven't done up to now.

I say this as someone who voted remain, and my hope would be for further closer ties with the EU, although this might have to await a Labour government.

Not to mention the breathtaking disingenuousness of "an agreement on trade."

As if what's in this current deal brings the UK in total to even 1% of what we had with the EU

I see you are still using a disability as an insult even after it was pointed out to you that it was pretty insulting.

Are we supposed to celebrate the arsonist putting out the bin fire they're responsible for (whilst watching the building next to the bin go up in flames)?

To paraphrase something that P G Wodehouse wrote in one of his novels about a Scotsman, and which as someone of Scottish descent I find rather amusing.

"It is never difficult to tell the difference between a DUP MP with a grievance and a ray of sunshine."

So the inevitable dismantling of Brexit continues.

What should be noted is not the terms of this agreement (when fully known) but to quote another literary type - it is a case of the dog that did not bark.

The total silence from windbags and liars such as Johnson, Farage and Rees-Mogg is very noticeable. Where the huff and puff about triggering article 16. I suspect they know the high water mark of brexit idiocy has long since past.

However as far as the average brexiter is concerned this will have little impact, as without a three word slogan to bleat out this is as understandable to them as the Duckworth-Lewis method is to the average Yank.

While there will still be the odd bleats of 'master knows best' and 'thems our betters' from some, as with the warning chirps from a smoke alarm battery that is running down, the amount of lies will similarly decrease.

There is still a long way to go, but the tide has now noticeably turned. Even for our resident rightie who will continue with his impression of the Black Knight (Holy Grail) as he persists in denial

Readers are asked not to make jokes about it being the Windbag agreement replaced by the Windsor agreement
