He is desperate to still have a future at Spurs but I think he's going to struggle with that even if Kane moves on. He didn't score enough goals in the champ last season but I actually think he needs a home somewhere and at 21 I think he should be someone we look at. Him and 1 other of course. Fits the profile for the role up front. A bit like Hirst in that he has to score more consistently but he has a high ceiling in terms of where he can get to. I'd like to see us get him perm and under McKenna he could flourish.

He's scored 3 in 29 in the Championship and 8 in 41 in League One.

Not sure he's really what we want in the number 9 position either, seems more like a 10 in our formation but wouldn't be near the top of the list for that position either.

I'd be surprised but you never know.

His finishing was atrocious for us.

Is he going to be one of those who've developed early physically and put himself ahead of his age group- but will be over-taken by his age group when they catch up physically? A lot of hype surrounding him ane I'd prefer we don't get caught up in that. And as someone has already said - maybe he's more of a 10 than a Hirst-type 9.

Spot on I think. He is pretty ordinary.

The liveliest striker in League One that we faced was Brizzle's Collins, he looked fairly useful and ran the line very well considering they just sat deep and offered little outside that

I'd say more one that needs to develop their physicality. Spurs still think highly of him and no guarantee they will sell for anywhere near reasonable.

Don't see him as a 10 at all longer term. Bit like Murph in that he's been moved about a bit but will land on CF eventually longer term.

Certainly a question mark on if and when he starts to fulfil his potential. But that's the only reason we might get him. Not an all eggs in one basket signing. But him and a Hirst/Simms would be good window. That he can play a few positions is useful.

Totally respect he's not going to be everyone's bag for a signing.

He's someone I could see in the TJJ role from last season - i.e. can play as a 9 or a 10 so offers you enough cover so not totally reliant on not getting an injury to one of the 2 number 9s we can carry.

But I don't think he did himself any favours here last time around, and people will remember that

His finishing is atrocious as well, so expect him to be down the list - I'd much rather us go after a Dane Scarlett if getting someone from Spurs

I was hoping we would sign Collins in January, but he wasn’t great the second half of last season.

I would argue it was Colby Bishop.

He absolutely terrorised us in league one.

What?

I watched both games v Portsmouth and didn’t see that much from him, he certainly didn’t terrorise us at all.
A decent L1 striker but I don’t see much scope for improvement. We can and should look for much better than Bishop.

I don't think we should get him either but a bit mad to say he didn't have much of an impact against us when he scored 3 goals across 2 games last season and scored in most games when we played Accrington and he was there!

I thought he was the stand out striker I saw against us throughout our time in league one. 6 goals against us in 3 seasons.

Opinions I guess, but I think he caused our defenders a lot of problems throughout our time in that division. Im also not advocating us signing him but was much better vs us than Aaron Collins was, is the point I was making.

He was good at playing on the shoulder of the opposition defenders.

In the home game he didn’t nothing. Oh cos he got two penalties he had an amazing game…. I see. Clearly I don’t understand football.

Out of interest how many of his goals in L1 were penalties. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was at least 10.

And before someone says it I’m not discrediting pens, you still have to put them a way however a 20 goal season from a player with half as pens compared to a player with the same but none as pens is not as impressive.

Ladapo scored way more goals in open play than bishop in way less minutes played yet many feel we need to improve on him.

I know Bishop wasn’t being suggested but really don’t see how he terrorised us and also some posters have previously said they’d target him which seems strange when it would be no improvement on Ladapo.

Posticoglu seems to like pace and energy going forwards too. Parrot isn’t slow but not sure even that side of his game is up to the standard required for how the manager will want spurs to play next season. That’s even if he was scoring goals.

I think that is very harsh on Bishop, he obviously didn't score 10 penalties this season in the league and is a player who has caused us problems each time we've played against him.

Ladapo scored one more open play goal than Bishop last season, it was in a lot fewer minutes - but he was also the number 9 for a side that scored 101 goals opposed to one that scored 61.....their second top scorer scored 5 goals, they were a defensive football side

I'd personally say Bishop's all round game would be a better fit here than Ladapo's in the system KM likes to play, it's much more all action and occupying defenders etc.....I don't envisage he's one we'll go after but if we do I'd be happy enough with him as a back up striker as he has improved every season

Weird and unnecessary passive aggression aside, there's not a chance he got close to scoring 10 penalties last season. He might have scored about 10 in his career but still that's not loads really.

Whichever way you slice it, he's got a decent record of scoring against us and has almost always been a thorn in our side whenever we've faced him. If he were in our team he'd probably have a similar impact/output to Ladapo.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.
