Yes, we replaced the entire starting XI but Reading made eight changes and had a load of kids out there, yet we made life very difficult for ourselves. I know we are looking to strengthen and I guess tonight, to an extent, shows why.
On Saturday, we had a mad ten minutes but otherwise played really well against quality oppositiojn. Tonight felt more like us under Cook - a lot of possession, and lot of build up play but struggling to convert and (more) silly mistakes at the back against a pretty weak side.

Plenty of upsets in both rounds so far. We've changed our team completely in both games and gone through....and we didn't used to do this haha.

Changed the whole team including 4 or 5 players who have started less than 5 games for us. It’s always going to be somewhat disjointed. Despite that we limited them to 0 shots on target until the 88th minute, away from home.
Not to mention the fact it’s a bit of a pointless exercise in a cup we’re not going to win. Minutes in legs and all that.

I didn’t see the game, but from your post I assume Reading’s under 11s dominated us throughout? No? thought not.
It’s a Mickey Mouse cup game. We are not going to win it. Players got a game and now have another coming up. It’s all good and even if we’d have been booted out, it wouldn’t have mattered. I’m glad we got through for the amazing supporters who went to the game.

Ha, very true. Though we drew over 90 minutes tonight. 
Performance wise, we were more dominant tonight but were wasteful up top. Then came the silly errors at the back, which were more pure mistakes than partially a result of the skill of the opposition.
If I'm honest, I'm getting frustrated over one moment - their equaliser. If we'd won 2-1 would I be feeling fine? Yeah. Which I fully acknowledge is stupid. | |

I personally think winning again so quickly after Sat, however we did it with whatever personnel, is very important to our next more important game. Pressure straight back off and everyone can relax a little that they haven’t forgotten how to win.
