No idea if he’s any good and I hope they know what they’re doing with this one, but how exciting!
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Yes!! Get in there. He just looks the real deal, the jewel of our summer recruitment. Thank you Mark Ashton and all the recruitment team to get this done.
Huge fee, my guess is that the bigger fee means a lower % sell-on clause. Which for someone so young with huge potential is more important than a couple more million on the initial price.
I know you can't help what goes into deals but I really hope there isn't any minimal release clause in there so if he is indeed as good as he sounds we can actually get top dollar for him down the line.

Hopefully Ashton is further honing his negotiating skills through the experiences with PL clubs thus kast 12 months ..

I think it's a slightly different negotiating position as well. Not saying we had the dominant position over Nordsjælland but probably more equal than when we were negotiating with Man City and Chelsea and their agents for Delap and Hutchinson.

Well the difference here with the Delap situation is he was actually in Southampton's stadium at one point, so we had little choice with two clubs so close to his signature. It appears we're the only ones prepared to take a punt on this one, so we have a better negotiating position.

Too right! We are the ones bringing him over, giving him his shot at English football. Whilst I know players hold the power I still think in some case we might get the upper hand

Fantastic news – but worth remembering he’s only just turned 19. His stats are already outstanding, and with McKenna guiding his development the potential is huge. The fee could easily double or triple, making it both a footballing and financial investment. That said, short term, he probably needs time to settle, especially with the physical demands of the Championship

Really excited by this one and hope we get this done ASAP before any last minute opponents come in for him. My ONLY reservation here is exactly that, why has nobody else shown any real serious interest in him ?

I'm really excited by this one, too, but mainly because I'm going to enjoy calling him Wally Eggs.
