Sindre Walle Egeli gets his giant move to Ipswich Town FC.

Tipsbladet can reveal that FC Nordsjælland and the Championship club have agreed on a huge deal.

According to Tipsbladet's information, the English club is paying 25 million euros, 187.5 million kroner, in a total package, and of that, 20 million euros, 150 million kroner, are guaranteed, while the rest is easily accessible money that FC Nordsjælland can count on.

That makes the Norwegian international the most expensive signing ever in Championship history.

All that is missing is a medical check and signatures on the contract before the historic deal is finalized.

It has taken several weeks to get this gigantic transfer through.

Thus, Tipsbladet was already able to reveal in mid-August that Ipswich Town FC made a huge bid of around 20 million euros, 150 million kroner, in total for the Superliga star, but since then FC Nordsjælland has negotiated the price significantly higher.

19-year-old Sindre Walle Egeli with the impressive physique came to FC Nordsjælland three years ago from Sandefjord and was included in the Superliga squad a year and a half ago.

Now he is leaving Denmark by writing himself into the history books.

No idea if he’s any good and I hope they know what they’re doing with this one, but how exciting!

Yes!! Get in there. He just looks the real deal, the jewel of our summer recruitment. Thank you Mark Ashton and all the recruitment team to get this done.

Huge fee, my guess is that the bigger fee means a lower % sell-on clause. Which for someone so young with huge potential is more important than a couple more million on the initial price.

Poll: would you rather

I know you can't help what goes into deals but I really hope there isn't any minimal release clause in there so if he is indeed as good as he sounds we can actually get top dollar for him down the line.

I think it's a slightly different negotiating position as well. Not saying we had the dominant position over Nordsjælland but probably more equal than when we were negotiating with Man City and Chelsea and their agents for Delap and Hutchinson.

Well the difference here with the Delap situation is he was actually in Southampton's stadium at one point, so we had little choice with two clubs so close to his signature. It appears we're the only ones prepared to take a punt on this one, so we have a better negotiating position.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Too right!
We are the ones bringing him over, giving him his shot at English football. Whilst I know players hold the power I still think in some case we might get the upper hand

Yeah I wouldn’t think the bottom team in the 14th ranked league in Europe holds the same leverage as a PL club. This is surely a huge fee for them.

Fantastic news – but worth remembering he’s only just turned 19. His stats are already outstanding, and with McKenna guiding his development the potential is huge. The fee could easily double or triple, making it both a footballing and financial investment. That said, short term, he probably needs time to settle, especially with the physical demands of the Championship

Really excited by this one and hope we get this done ASAP before any last minute opponents come in for him. My ONLY reservation here is exactly that, why has nobody else shown any real serious interest in him ?

I'm really excited by this one, too, but mainly because I'm going to enjoy calling him Wally Eggs.
