Town Topic: Who Next for Town?
Wednesday, 24th Oct 2012 13:33

Paul Jewell's time as Town manager has come to an end, the Liverpudlian and the Blues agreeing his exit by mutual consent on Wednesday morning. Who would you like to see come in as his replacement?

Mick McCarthy for me

Passion, experience and is a great man manager. Always builds an excellent team spirit. Plus he knows how to sort out a defence and not afraid to rattle a few cages. Well able to handle the egos!

Soljskaer and Redknapp won't come, Mills is a legend but too risky when with limited experience and in a relegation battle, Burley should stay away and not ruin his legacy... in a slightly realistic dreamland I'd love a McCarthy or a Coyle but Di Canio would be very interesting!

Will Have to be someone who can work on a small budget and plays attacking football, Ian Holloway would fit the bill but unfortunately now we are not a attractive enough for him to leave Blackpool. Redknapp isn't going to come he either. McCarthy would do a good job, please not Megson! Bring back Shepshanks also.

Not Curbishley or McCarthy.

We need someone with experience, but who plays an expansive style.

Kenny Jacket, Billy Davies, even Darren Ferguson.

Lets not rush it!!

Di Canio
Tisdale
Tarricco
Robinson
Hope Powell

Certainly not Reid, Megson, Brown etc

Young, hungry, innovative and a breath of fresh air.

Curbishley isn't as bad as Megson, but still been out of the game for too long and in the same mould as Jewell. Marcus Evans needs to change the recruitment plan.

Steve Lomas, Young and talented manager who is getting great results at St Johnstone without spending big bucks

Yet another go at the lottery....be careful what you wish for people......the problem lies deep within the club, not just with the manager. Changes need to be made at the club and I favour an experienced 'hard headed' manager who can stand up for himself.

Di Canio is an idiot, McCarthy a long ball man, Curbs has been out of the game a long time, so it's going to be a tough one....Harry Rednapp anyone??

Love CasanovaCrow's comment regarding MONET.

All a manager needs is a couple of MONETS. Throw in a Rembrandt and and a couple of Da Vinci's and any manager worth his salt can really build a team to be proud of!

I would let Bryan Klug take over in the interim a quiet professional individual who knows his football and has peoples respect

we need to get rid of Clegg knows naff all about football / football clubs or how to run one a standing joke inside the club

Di Canio is fascist, for god's sake, by his own admission...I can't believe anyone would want him at Portman Road

Dear Mr Evans, you've twice gone for someone who's "been there & done it" and both times it's been a disaster. This time why not try a dynamic, progressively-minded manager who's on an upward curve? See above for several good suggestions
