The fall of the EU is close 12:48 - Jan 30 with 8853 views | The_Last_Baron | Not long to go in the life of this dismal construct. People all over Europe are waking up and it's entering its final stage, the collapse will be quicker than you could ever possibly imagine. Much like the Soviet Union, it will fall like a game of Kerplunk.

I'll take 'flat' over 'tanking', which is what's happening to us.

A collapse of our nearest trading partners wouldn't hurt us? This is sh1twitted, even by your standards.

You’d think that would be blindingly obvious to even the most ardent brexiteers wouldn’t you? Apparently not.

The fall of the EU is close on 13:55 - Jan 30 by GlasgowBlue | The EU has certainly shown it's weaknesses and vulnerabilities during this crisis. But it's far from falling apart. And it would be a bad thing if it did. That doesn't mean that the UK can't forge it's own future successfully outside of the EU. |
The UK probably won't exist in 5 years time at this rate.

It would disrupt the whole global economy - everything would go berserk and we'd be right in the middle. THis would be on a completely different scale to brexit.

it won't collapse. the most that could happen would be for the current arrangements to shrink to a franco german core with a looser relationship for the wider periphery. but no-one sees the current structure as permanent - the german centred core wants greater centralisation, the periphery want greater flexibility. it won't collapse but one way or another it won't look the same in 10 years.
| And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show |

The fall of the EU is close on 14:29 - Jan 30 with 759 views | Darth_Koont | Delusional. Too many people in the UK live politics inside their own brains so their feelings and opinions remain unchallenged by facts or other perspectives. That’s why they don’t know a) what the EU is and does and b) how awful our own government and politics are. The EU isn’t perfect by any means: it’s a human and political organisation FFS. But it’s on another level in terms of representation and looking after EU citizens and their interests compared to our own politicians looking after British citizens.

It's amazing how you, with a single digit IQ, can see what all these learned politicians and economists can't see. I don't know why they even bother crunching numbers and using decades worth of accumulated expertise, when they could just pluck blind faith out of their arses instead.

I have no problem with you at all, FWIW I think you get a disproportionate amount of stick. You’re so wrong about this though. Of course countries can flourish outside of a trading bloc, but that’s not the same thing at all as being part of a trading bloc which collapses after many decades. That would be absolutely earth shattering for the global economy and we would be first in the firing line, given our geographic and economic ties with the continent. British businesses are already finding out to their cost how much extra bureaucracy is now required to import/export.

That wasn't abuse. You've misunderstood the context that means it isn't abusive, understandable given how painfully dim-witted you are. [Post edited 30 Jan 2021 14:52]
