Would now be a good opportunity to get Richard Wright a role at his old town club? Plenty of keeping experience, been coaching at Man City etc and he's got plenty of years ahead of him?
I am guessing wages might be a stumbling block though...

I used to help MW and Ben at Cambridge on a Saturday morning. |

People seem to think footballers are this special breed where they should tweet or be involved in nothing other than their club career - which is totally wrong. He should be able to tweet about how well his home club are doing, it has zero effect on his position at Town.

The normal world isn't the same as football, it's not under the same microscope
It's very clear based on the replies " he can concentrate on west ham now" . It's the same with Norwood with his tweets about tranmere.
When there are questions about people's respect/love/passion for the club and it's own players and staff are more interested in other clubs, it will raise questions that's football im afraid |  |

There's nothing intrinsically wrong with it, it's just a little 'tin-pot' isn't it? The big, proper coaches/managers don't constantly harp on about their favourite clubs - just those lower league players who know they will never get there. |  |

Could Carl Pentney step up from the Academy coaching staff in the meantime? He’s a very decent young goalkeeping coach. Walker seemed a likeable and jovial type of character, but ultimately he is there to do a job. Not really convinced much has improved in Holy’s game through Walker’s guidance. Gill seems a bit different though, in that he actually comes across quite well and a level headed guy.

Burley was an excellent manager, however when we sadly lost Roberts, Burley had lost his right arm. It happens alot with managers... Lambert/Culverhouse. etc |
Burley did well with Houston, Gorman and Hamilton as Asst Manager, so those saying he could only work with Roberts are wide of the mark.

It's difficult for assistant managers/first-team coaches to say too much post-match so you do tend to end up with a lot of bluster and cliche. | | | |

And freshening up was good. Doesnt change the positive influence he had and one which was sadly lost.
I appreciate roles etc and responsibilities changed etc but he was Burleys best friend and assistant and the reason I mentioned him in this thread is the PC Leam relationship had grown similar. [Post edited 15 Apr 2021 13:57]
