And that kind of sentiment, is the very reason that folk are not returning to left of centre politics. Posts like that just play into the governments hands every time.
Labour defeats Labour, not the Conservative Party.

In that case, let's just see how Starmer's praise the government approach attracts those left of centre people back to Labour then, shall we?

A classic case being around Remembrance Sunday when James McClean has to explain time-and-time again why he doesn’t wear a poppy on his shirt. A lot of the tell-it-like-it-is crowd simply can’t contain their anger.

They are the biggest snowflakes around but they just can’t see it.

Let's not forget in March 2020

"For days, Prime Minister Boris Johnson had brushed aside a crescendo of calls from politicians and academics to close the country’s more than 30,000 schools. He had repeatedly refused, insisting that the scientific advice he was so publicly heeding showed such disruption wasn’t necessary."

"The initial decision to delay closing schools is just one chapter in the story of the British response to the pandemic that Johnson’s critics say was far too slow. The government waited longer than many countries before deciding to shut restaurants, bars and stores and banish people to their homes. While other countries chased down every case of infection they could find, Johnson’s administration failed in its attempt to test the population and track the spread of the virus."

The same incompetence and delay caused more deaths and confusion in the weeks leading up to Xmas, as this arzpeece put his popularity above the well being and safety of the populace.

Almost like he would have preferred the bodies piled high to having any lockdown. But, like the Government corruption and racism within it, the electorate largely simply do not care. This Government is allowed to do all this because they are not held accountable by the electorate.

Imagine being so sensitive AND thick that you voted Tory because someone called an openly racist incompetent a an openly racist incompetent.

At the age of 87.

Mr Badger, a question; Do you openly tell your work colleagues that they are thick if they voted Conservative. Or did every porter, nurse, surgeon, physiotherapist, consultant, ambulance driver, clinician, therapist etc, vote non Conservative at the last election. Are they aware of the political hatred that you spread?
Just asking for a patient.

I would have thought those working in the NHS are less susceptible to the lies on account of experiencing the political influences first hand, so are far less likely to vote Tory. And those that do probably aren't exactly flavour of the month with their colleagues (just a guess, although I've family in the NHS and they would never entertain the idea of voting Tory as they believe in what the NHS does).

And besides, is it hatred to point out that the government are not supportive of something we regard as a national treasure? Or just truthful?

Theoretically, yes.

But as a)pretty much all of us are aware of how incompetent, openly bigoted and flagrant;y corrupt they are.
and b) pretty much everyone working for the NHS is either educated or well aware of how Boris views people who aren't rich, straight white blokes the situation's never arose.

Plus, given that I have a large number of overseas, female and LGBTQ colleagues, I generally don't encounter issues when I have occasion to challenge bigotry and bullying.

Given that the tories' main skill is inventing derogatory "names" for their opponents - "remoaners", "woke", "captain hindsight", etc - I thought your lot would have tougher skins.

Still, got to maintain the acting-the-victim routine I suppose.

Why do you think the NHS staff don’t get pay rises above a pittance? Because they generally don’t vote Tory. It’s the same reason teachers and other public servants are vilified in the right wing press on a regular basis - because it doesn’t harm their vote. It’s the same reason some councils get better central government funding than others.

Crikey, you try and respect someone’s war on woke.

You try and be less woke with them, don’t treat them like a snowflake that can’t take a bit of ribbing, and they down arrow you.
