Chance to show leadership innit. It’s not important for what happens on the pitch, which is top priority obviously, but it is a chance to engage with fans, build the connection, bring people along for the ride, etc. To me it says ‘I don’t care about you lot’. Might not be the case of course, but he is the figurehead after all (as others have said). Not a biggie, but it could help repair some of the damage of the last 13+ years.

Once you get to the Premier League you are contractually obliged to talk to broadcast partners post games - it’s not too much to ask.

Pre season isn’t an issue, and if he wants to stick others forward after cup games then so be it - but league games are a must and hopefully he will do them.

I get so annoyed with Managers dodging post game press. It’s not like they have loads to do after a game is it.

You know what a manager has to do after a game? You have first hand experience of managing a professional football club? My confident guess to both answers is no, so do us all a favour and stop crying.

Yes the Lambert post match press conference was a thing of beauty. Endless drivel from an idiot that didn’t know the difference between a team and a teapot. I also miss the days of hearing that Duggie is a ‘proper bloke’ after watching him slowly amble about just outside our penalty area for 90 minutes.

On a serious note, I believe in this day and age the manager should do the post match press conference, wherever possible. However, I can understand why Cook might try and avoid them, given what happened at the end of last season.

I like to hear what they’ve got to say after a game, but I do wonder if it’s the best time; heat of the moment and all that.

Well we all know one of the things a manager has to do after the game - the press conference!

Seems pretty clear that much of TWTD will brook no criticism of the Manager & powers that be whatsoever this season. I know we’ve all been waiting and hoping for good things to start happening but bootlicking won’t make you happy. View all things Ipswich under these owners with a healthy suspicious eye.

So long as it isn't the loss dodging style of Lambert, I'm happy for them to mix it up between different coaching staff, getting different perspectives from the leadership team. Hearing the same sort of thing week in week out does grate on me after a while.

It might be that some people just want to give the new owners and the manager a chance. There are plenty that want Cook out and ‘his’ team hasn’t yet played a game.

Most people who support Cook acknowledge that he’s made mistakes, as he does himself, but there is a difference between comment/criticism and an agenda that searches for reasons to out somebody.

Why? They just to be overanalysed by fans anyway. If they don’t want to answer a question they won’t answer the actual question itself.

Exactly, if he’s doing his job, getting results and getting us out of league 1 It’s an issue that doesn’t exist.

The true reason is PC struggles to separate emotion from managerial responsibility.

He hates post match interviews, always has done. It's not new. He likes to keep things positive at all times but as seen last season when things arent good he finds it hard to keep a level head. That's not a failure if any kind that's just how he is as a person.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.
