Johnson’s supporters saying the rules were the problem 08:39 - Jan 11 with 4215 viewsElderGrizzly

Not him breaking them

I did wonder who would be first to spin it in that way

I wonder what Hunt will make of this, he HATES law breakers.

Fabricant is just another buffoon. His last point about how staff at No 10 "have worked incredibly hard on behalf of us" is a slap in the face to all key workers. Surely one day the masses will see through this lot and kick them out.

That little Union Jack next to his name will get the right demographic on side.

Tho some of that demographic also prefer smart, well-presented leaders, staesmanlike conduct and are repelled by sleaze.

This is an interesting point and an awkward position for one of the favourites to replace Johnson

What seems to be being missed here is the frequency of these events. This is not a 'one off', a lapse or even a misunderstanding of the rules, but what looks to be a flagrant disregard for the rules.

And the thought that righties aren't the brightest is merely enhanced by their bleat that the riles at the time were, 'bad'. Who the fck did they think drew them up ? And who the fck were appearing on the TV telling the rest of us we should obey them ?

How many more of these parties are going to emerge ?

How many were hit with £1000 fines ? Will they now appeal ?

We now have the former Conservative attorney general calling Johnson a serial liar - something the bloated buffoon will get up at PMQ's tomorrow and do his best to prove him correct.

And when he does lie at the dispatch box, he won't be asked to correct the record and there will be no comeback. Was it last week when he had a clean sweep of misleading the house on every question? And nothing done about it. Something's badly broken with our systems. They shouldn't be above the law. If anything, they should be conscious of being more squeaky clean than most due to the privilege of the positions they hold.

It's so frustrating that they're above sanctions or even reproach. You can see why revolutions start.

Yes. And he said it, on national TV, with a smug grin on his face.
I see his supporters' defence is 'stop harping on about the past'...

Talk about harping on about the past there are still some who continue to blame Gordon Brown for the state of things

Ridiculous.
