Suddenly feel nervous for tonight… 10:23 - Nov 7 with 2583 viewsSitfcB

Having read the previews and watched a bit of the KOA pod with the Bracknell owner and joint-manager, surely, surely not even we can mess this up!?

Surely it’ll be a comfortable ITFC win, things are different here now, or are they?

All the hallmarks for an upset innit.

If we play with our usual care with the ball, they will blow up after 45 minutes. teams who have tried to press us have done it for 45 mins then they can't sustain it.

Im not too bothered about tonight, i think we will beat them.

The not-so-great Bracknell??
Currently sitting 11th in Southern league (south division) - Tier 7 with 5 wins from 12 games and conceded 18 goals. Only won 2 of their 6 home games.

Against the Mighty Blues? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh.

I'm quite sure that they will pack their defence, but a shot from outside the box will probably go in if its on target.

It's their Cup final - and we don't lose Cup Finals.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

I was nothing but confident, until I watched MOTD - FA Cup highlights last night & I remembered you can never be all that confident in this competition.

As much as I've enjoyed MOTD in a long time though, the FA cup is still magic!

It's probably not going to be pretty, they'll be keen to make it a fight and make the most of their 15 minutes of fame. They'll go long with balls into our box and the pitch will cut up as the game goes on. It's going to be a night for the likes of Keogh and Burgess IMO, Humphries will get stuck in in the middle too. Camara needs minutes but perhaps Dom Ball next to Humphries with Camara in one of the #10 roles would be more appropriate tonight. Will be interesting but it's a fixture I back us to come through. We need to move them around as much as we can, if we can keep the ball and keep them chasing it we'll be in a position to turn the screw in the 2nd half fitness wise.

I don't think it will be a comfortable win, but we have enough strength, skill and morale to prevail.

Also a manager who I don't think will be falling back upon the "concentrate on the League" excuse.

Edit: I expect that, even if we put out an "alternative" team, there will be strong bench to back it up.

The Banter Era will continue until we are back where we belong, challenging in the Championship. This therefore means all Banter Era outcomes are still on the table. Remember what happened this time last year?

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

When we played Morecombe back in 2000-01, Marcus Stewart scored a nice early goal to take all the pressure off. That would help a lot tonight.

We'll probably have to deal with a physical battle for the first 10 mins or so but come through that unhurt and we can turn the screw. Get a couple of goals before HT, deal with another barrage at the start of the second half, then get another two goals and relax.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

I don't think Marcus is in the team.

but I know what you mean and yeah, that would help.

Yeah an early goal would sort it, the longer it stays 0-0 the more nervy it’ll get, for us watching anyway.

I'm just adding up your scenario.
2 goals b4 half-time then another 2.
So you're saying we can relax when we've scored 4 goals.

Not this again.

First 15 mins will be a breakneck speed then we'll just dominate possession and it'll be comfortable. I'm planning on not drinking I'm that confident my nerves won't need it!

Suddenly feel nervous for tonight… on 11:21 - Nov 7 with 2093 viewsChrisd

I'm not being over confident or cocky, but if we can't beat a side that is a good few leagues below us, I'd be hugely disappointed. The players need to have the right attitude from that first whistle and if they do that then we should win comfortably.

Well as long as the 2nd two are scored well before the 90th minute we'll be ok.

Agree with that but my rider is that it’s going to be heavy pitch so I’d get Jackson on right and feed him. Also is it a smaller pitch?

Big win guaranteed.

Sitters don't worry. I'd have understood your worries if we had been managed by mccarthy as our defeat would have been quite likely.
