So the FBI say… on 12:46 - Mar 1 by Horsham | I know it won’t be fashionable to agree with the poster but yes I think pretty much all kid’s education suffered through the pandemic and this combined with the fact these kids are the first generation of the social media age makes me certain that for many the effect on their mental health and future wellbeing will be dramatic. There are large numbers of kids who are not ok. |
I think kids are way more resilient than we give them credit for.

Perhaps we could have protected them by isolating and not discharging hospital wards into care homes .... whilst not needing to be taking incredibly oppressive steps like locking down children etc?

Even with those "oppressive steps" there were tens of thousands of deaths from Covid in the UK, tens of millions worldwide. How bad do you think it would have been if we all just cracked on as normal?

So the FBI say… on 13:56 - Mar 1 by Swansea_Blue | People certainly made a lot of money from it. People in a position to do profiteer from every major disruptive event, such as wars, major political events, and yes even pandemics. It doesn't mean the triggering event didn't happen. But then I'm not sure whether you're being serious or this is just a wind up. |
Why polarise the debate? I try to be serious and ridiculous at once. All im saying is i didnt see it. With some exposure i still didn't. You all saw the goal and you agree with the referee, it was a goal. Im just here scratching my head and shrugging my shoulders; from here it looked like it never crossed the line. Given you're pushing a conspiracy theory that covid was an engineered situation in order for wealthy people to make money, can you please explain how all the people died? It's quite an offensive angle you're pushing as has already been pointed out by Phil. SB

That's true, but it was a monumental and fearful time where all normal life was disrupted - I think most kids did cope, but it left scars. Not being an educational or child development expert, my opinion isn;t worth much, but I agree with Horsham: many kids have suffered. Just a little example: school attendance is for many, seen as almost optional now, from what I can see. [Post edited 1 Mar 2023 14:44]

Im not pushing that, those are your words. I think covid was created by China in wuhan and escaped, most likely accidentally. People certainly died from this novel respiratory virus. Our leaders made decisions on how to manage what they'd decided was a"pandemic". This allowed them to make new rules. Looking back and considering these rules...it seems they've favoured the rule makers and not us, or our children. Massively. My anecdotal evidence is certainly different to the mainstream medias position. Ho hum. Wheres the conspiracy theory?

So you don’t have a TV or radio, follow other social media, read msm, believe the WHO or tens of thousands of doctors (including specialists like virologists and epidemiologists) reporting from all around the world then? Curious.

"Im not pushing that, those are your words." Ending your posts with things like "Follow the Money" are fairly clear in their meaning. "Our leaders made decisions on how to manage what they'd decided was a"pandemic". This allowed them to make new rules. Looking back and considering these rules...it seems they've favoured the rule makers and not us, or our children. Massively." You keep putting pandemic in quotes, it was a pandemic, please stop doing it. The definition of a pandemic is very clearly outlined by the WHO and that was what determined it was a pandemic. Looking at things in hindsight like you are doing totally ignores the context at the time and it's not really a fair way of evaluating anything. "My anecdotal evidence is certainly different to the mainstream medias position. Ho hum." It's not a mainstream media position, it's the reality of the situation. I suggest you go look at images from Italy at the start of the pandemic or from India when Delta emerged if you think this is all some kind of media narrative. SB [Post edited 1 Mar 2023 15:05]

No offence is intended. Colds kill many people and i wasn't dismissing peoples deaths just the need to lock our whole world down. People are taking offence, but im not trying to offend, troll or be rude. I haven't called anyone names, unlike others. I mery replied to a thread honestly, with my opinion of my experience of covid. Tbh the main result of covid ockdown for me was it broke the last traces of belief in our government, andedia, and I have stopped reading everything (previously grandiad and p eye). Listening to the government announcements on radio was like 1984. Why would anyone trust the government and the companies that own it? Calling a virus that killed millions "a sniffle" is likely to make people upset and angry. Something to ponder for the future. SB

But I was making the point that reporting of the pandemic *wasn’t* just by our government or msm - it was literally by millions of ordinary people and doctors, all over the world - hence pandemic being a literal description, if you look up the dictionary definition of the word. I've reread my first post. I apologise to all for putting it so offensively. A lot of people died because of covid and i think the covid pandemic was a terrible tragedy. I wasn't seeking to offend people and any other points I was seeking to make are irrelevant to having done that.
