Town tv on 16:54 - Jul 21 by Mark | No, anyone can buy the £10 passes. |
Are you sure? I'd have assumed that, but it does say, within the £5.99 subscription section, that the matches are available at an 'additional cost' - not a separate cost. 'Midweek Town games that are not selected for live broadcast in the UK will be available to watch at an additional cost of £10 per match.' Also, aren't all midweek Championship matches shown live on Sky now, or has that changed?

Town tv on 17:00 - Jul 21 by ScottCandage | A bit of a hiccup, I signed up as an international, but for some reason it hasn't recognized my membership yet, so I can't view the videos yet. |
I don't see the international option on the site? Does this only apply for outside the UK?

Town tv on 16:57 - Jul 21 by Illinoisblue | I’ll be subscribing no matter what, but it is an increase on IFollow. $230 for the season compared to $180. And in L1 we got to see every game. That won’t be the case when Sky are showing us in UK. (Nothing the club can do about that, obviously) Still, approx $5 a game. Can’t really argue with that. |
Not having a uk bank account I take it I will be charged a hefty conversion rate every payment by my German bank

Town tv on 16:38 - Jul 21 by Swansea_Blue | Swansea do the same, so I suspect it's normal. Not sure on the prices other clubs charge though. Edit - theirs is £25, just checked. So good value from us. [Post edited 21 Jul 2023 16:40]

Season long Swansea TV subscription for international fans in 22-23 was £170, Town Tv only offering the monthly subscription totaling an approximate yearly £240. Bit surprised Town Tv will cost that much. As a US-based subscriber, it’s unfortunate that Town TV is £100 more than a season of iFollow (notwithstanding the single camera technical deficiencies of iFollow).

Can you pay via Paypal? You might want to look into something like the Curve card. No idea if they are available in Germany or offer the same benefits but conversion fees seem to be on the way out.

It's additional cost to the £5.99 but can also be bought on it's own.

Looking at payment options pay pal does not appear will have to investigate otherwise this could be expensive every month

Town tv on 16:21 - Jul 21 by burnbudgiesburn | £10 a match £5.99 monthly audio subscriber pass including live U21 video Wondering if they'll offer full match replays of games tbh. Much as I criticise ifollow, you didn't even have to pay to watch the replays at about 1am next morning. |
The way Phil's worded it in his story it looks like the £5.99 includes weekend games, but you pay £10 extra for midweek games... "TownTV will feature behind-the-scenes footage, extended features and highlights for £5.99 a month. From the game against Stoke City at Portman Road on Saturday 12 August, both home and away fixtures will be presented from the new TownTV studio which has been built in the old gym at Portman Road over the summer. Midweek matches not selected for live broadcast in the UK will be available to watch at an additional cost of £10." Is it just me? Doesn't seem entirely clear.

Interesting they don’t mention Glenn W who did the commentary last season. Wonder if they have someone different lined up.

Was addicted to I follow and for me waking at 2am to watch weekend matches was a joy having been away for 25 years. Yes I know I missed the bad years.... As a rugby infatuated nation sky is crap here and hardly any live football shown let alone on delay. Signing up for this will mean no way to watch games shown live in the UK even if they are not shown live here. So sign up pay more yet miss several games if we do well and are picked up by sky...That sounds a crap deal to me at the moment. Also why is the Sunderland game not included is that on Sky?

Yes, the Sunderland game is live on Sky. 5-00 p.m. K.O. on the Sunday.

Town tv on 17:56 - Jul 21 with 2665 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | I take it you will be able to go abroad and still buy games individually at £10 a pop. If so, that's probably what I will do as I already pay for Sky and go to a decent amount of games. Months where I would get three or more games out of it I would sign up for the subscription and then drop it until the next time.

Town tv on 16:47 - Jul 21 by ellerblue | Living in Germany this is not really a good move , previously with I follow I paid in euros as a one time payment of euro equivalent of 126 pounds and got all league matches including those shown on sky, now it is 240 pounds and can't watch any games that are shown live on sky also will have to see if I can pay with German credit card which will charge a hefty conversion exchange but no option if I want to see the mighty blues |
Yeah, this is my concern with the subscription. Looks like they are charging in £, so what's going on with the exchange rate payments? And why should Sky games impact me as an international subscription holder? I can't get Sky! If it is better quality, I'm okay with the increase. But not happy with the options.
