I'm with Bloots. It's an entertaining read for sure, but a little OTT for my liking. Shoehorning in a few too many 'funnies' that it becomes a bit try hard.

Great read. A couple of real laugh out loud moments.
Less than ideal, therefore, for Rangers to have this as their only home league fixture before September 16. Not so much an unwanted guest at a family funeral as a whole stag party rocking up to bang out Bamboleo on the coffin lid while nan quietly sobs in the corner. Thank you Grandad, thank you for fighting the war.

Take these two passages, they are excellent fanzine report content, but crucially (which you fail to miss) they are more informative than traditional writing styles. You're focussing on the wrong parts of the report.

I write for a living. He does. Some of the syntax isn't even correct. If you have to read somethinig 3 times to follow it, there is a problem.
I'm not knocking him. Its a fun well written fan piece with some nice lines. Personally I think it would be better if sharpened up a bit, but that still makes it better than many tedious and poorly written reports one finds online. | | | |
