Ex-players you're surprised don't have much to do with the club 14:20 - Aug 22 with 10026 views | Hipsterectomy | This isn't meant as a dig at them and I'm unsure of their current geographical location or employment situation I saw the Wembley highlights and was reminded of Naylor scoring and then setting up the 4th goal. He ended up approaching 400 games for us in all competitions and had a testominial yet since retiring I don't think has had much, or anything, to do with us (maybe co-comms on Suffolk?). Fabian Wilnis as well - over 300 games, 10 years at ITFC, brought him to England etc. Get them to a game, Matt Holland, so we can celebrate these guys!

Until your post, I had no idea he was there! I suspect the PA wasn't up to much and other people were in a similar position.

Ex-players you're surprised don't have much to do with the club on 14:52 - Aug 22 by the_toff | Naylor was always Leeds through and through. Not to say he doesn't have time for Ipswich of course but I'm not surprised he took the move there and stayed afterwards. He even had a Leeds United tattoo. Richard Wright and Titus don't seem to get too involved. Obviously Wright has got his City gig at the moment so don't suppose he's likely to, but not sure what Titus is up to. As local lads you think you might see more of them. |
Didn't Titus used to put money into the academy?

There were quite a few town fans actually asking who he was. It's a different generation now...

Lives out in Dubai now mind, but yes, definitely spends a lot of time back here also.

Brilliant player, local but I can't ever remember him on anything ITFC related or at the ground. David Linighan is another. Captained us in our last meaningful trophy season (I'm not having a trophy for the play offs).

Scowie used to be the player that Sky would wheel out for Town games when they needed someone. I dunno what happened to Matt Richards but he had around 150 games for us and we were a huge part of his life. I don't think he's been seen at PR when players such as Danny Haynes have been back a few times. He did get stick as a youngster though so may not look back on us with fondness.

Has Romeo been back much? Or has he done Life's a Pitch?

Magic on 11:31 - Aug 23 with 1569 views | Dyland | Not a surprise, seeing as the circumstances around his departure embarrassed the fan base (tarred by a very vocal and very fvckwiited small minority), the local media and the ownership itself. It was so good to see him back, earlier this year was it, or end of last? A proper club legend. Obviously Magic didn't literally curse the club... well, he may have done, but these things don't actually work in reality... BUT karma works in a more general way and I'm not talking about spiritual notions of rebirth here. Magic's departure set the tone and The Curse has lain across this club since then, and not until Magic was invited back did it truly lift. Coincidence of course, but hey ho... I'd love to see him around the place more. COYFB

Maybe we should sacrifice him at the ground, quarter him and bury the parts at the four corner flags. Just to be safe.

As well as his sports' shop, I remember he helped out at Ipswich Rugby Club training in 1978. Towards the end of training, I recall one time him using a football and challenging people to get it off him. Nobody could get anywhere near him. [Post edited 23 Aug 2023 17:27]

I’m not sure where to start with this one. Most people just ignore you. I should too. I thought you just hated us since post takeover. Didn’t realise your hate spanned back 25 odd years. Very strange that you’ve singled out 2 great ambassadors of our club though. It’s definitely original trolling.
